Actions have consequences

File this story under a case of Substance over Style

Imagine the surprise of the Telluride, CO town council when the vacation cancellations began pouring in.

Within hours of the council’s vote calling for impeachment of President Bush and VP Cheney, hundreds of ski vacationers showed their displeasure by voting with their dollars. Chaa-Ching……..

“It’s huge, unbelievable,” said Telluride Mayor John Pryor. “Ski groups are canceling for the winter. Hundreds of people are bailing. The (town) Web site is flooded with people saying they’re canceling their vacations here.”

I love it.

  1. That is the American way. Vote with your dollars.

  2. And I’m sure the mayor et al are completely puzzled as to this response.

Rove must have got to ‘em.

New tax deductions for people who take their ski vacations in the Appalachians or something.

  3. Well, boo-effing-hoo!
So does this mean that when local elections are held, the current moonbaticus city council will be replaced?
Don’t do the whine, if you vote the moonbat line.

  4. The moonbaticus city council probably believes profits are eeevil and the business owners should just suck it up.
