The previous post about the iman calling the Dutch schoolchildren “dogs” stirred my curiosity. With Geert Wilders making headlines with his movie Fitna, the murder of Theo van Gogh, and the books and speeches by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Netherlands does indeed seem to be the center of the struggle for the future of Europe.
Occupying a territory only slightly larger than the state of Massachussets, The Netherlands has 453 mosques according to the Social and Cultural-planning agency of the Dutch government. Nearly all have multiple foreign Imams.
Recently, a report by the Dutch intelligence service (AIVD) named six radical mosques, all which are now under surveillance. All six preach the Salafist strain of Islam and all six receive funding from Saudi Arabia. They are:
El Tawheed Mosque in Amsterdam; Sjeikh Al Islam Ibn Taymia in Den Haag; Al Fourkaan mosque in Eindhoven; Al Mouahidine mosque in Helmond; Society of Islamic youth in Breda; Islamic Society for Education and Knowledge Transfer in Tilburg.
After three imans were expelled in 2005 for preaching sedition at the Al Fourkann mosque, a mosque spokesman said,
“If an imam preaches incitement, I am against that. Maybe that has happened sometimes in this mosque, but I don’t know about it because I was not present.”
His statement sounds eerily familiar to Barack H. Obama’s response to statements made by former Nation of Islam, and later Trinity UCC pastor Jeremiah Wright …
“I reject outright the statements by Rev. Wright that are at issue….The statements that Rev. Wright made that are the cause of this controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity…”
Just words?
Here are some more words, courtesy of Mrs. Hartsfield. “Your freedom of speech ends somewhere between the edge of my fist and the tip of your nose.”

So, if you don’t personally see or hear someone do wrong, but everyone knows said person did wrong, it’s still O.K. to associate with said person until called on it? That’s some twisted logic there.
I think it’s a variation on the “if a tree falls in the forest, and no liberals are around to hear it, does it help or hurt the global warming cause?”
or something like that
