Obama refuses to release his birth certificate

In an attempt to put to rest the persistent rumor that Barry Soetoro, aka Barak Hussein Obama’s real name isn’t Barak Hussein Muhhamed Obama, the St. Pete Times published this interesting paragraph…

We tried to obtain a copy of Obama’s birth certificate, but his campaign would not release it and the state of Hawaii does not make such records public.

St. Pete Times’ effort to put to rest the rumors about Obama have raised more questions than they have answered….

Why won’t Obama release his birth certificate?

What is he trying to hide?

    I’ve seen the claims from some folks in Kenya that his full name is not being given.
    So instead of a plain old B-HO, he is a B-HMO?
    Doesn’t have the right ring to it, somehow.

    I’ve heard the bigger question is whether or not he was actually born in the US as required by the constitution. Some say his mother was not allowed to fly to Hawaii so close to Obama’s birth and had to remain in Kenya. Shouldn’t candidates be required to show proof of US birth???

    Kathy, those reports about when and where he was born have been circulating, but there is a reason they have gained no traction.
    From Title 8 of the U.S. Code, section 1401.

    (d) a person born outside of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is a citizen of the United States who has been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year prior to the birth of such person, and the other of whom is a national, but not a citizen of the United States;
    (g) a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than five years, at least two of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years

    The question of where B-HO was born was dismissed almost as quickly as McCain, as he was born in he Panama Canal Zone to a military family.
    The real question on his birth certificate is, what is his full name?
