Bush cowboys up

Right after I go on a rant about the President not going on the offense and taking it to the democrats, he cowboys up big time… Heh.
Speaking in Israel to the Knesset, President Bush made the following comment…
“Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade [...]

The will of the court vs the will of the people

The California Supreme Court overturned a voter-approved ban on gay marriage Thursday in a ruling that would allow same-sex couples in the nation’s biggest state to tie the knot.
Domestic partnerships are not a good enough substitute for marriage, the justices ruled 4-3. LINK
The court wins…..The California SC taking this position, in an election [...]

Mississippi on my mind

I just got this email from Mike Huckabee…
Last night was a reminder of what a tough year this will be for Republicans. The loss of the Congressional seat in Mississippi was tough. We had a great candidate, but the Democrat very effectively ran as a pro life, pro 2nd amendment conservative. I’m convinced that for [...]

Kumbaya baby

I was reading about the Republican loss of MS-01 in the CL, trying to figure out how in the cat hair we managed to give that seat away, and for some reason unbeknownst to me, I thought about an old essay written some time back by our pal RT.
I don’t see how anyone can look [...]

Meet the new boss

It seems so long ago, that Nancy Pelosi promised the most ethical Congress ever.
After a year and a half of ethical leadership, how is the Dem congress shaping up? More of the same…

Obama refuses to release his birth certificate

In an attempt to put to rest the persistent rumor that Barry Soetoro, aka Barak Hussein Obama’s real name isn’t Barak Hussein Muhhamed Obama, the St. Pete Times published this interesting paragraph…
We tried to obtain a copy of Obama’s birth certificate, but his campaign would not release it and the state of Hawaii does not [...]

Wolverines

Lately, talk show host Laura Ingraham has been promoting an idea for a new movie: a remake of the 80’s classic Red Dawn, with the young people of America fighting against Muslim mufsidun instead of Cuban and Soviet invaders. So far, she hasn’t had any takers.
That may be about to change. [...]

Going fishin’

Strap-On Helicopter Could Offer Solo Flying Experience

It’s not quite the “flying car” of Jetson’s lore. In fact, it looks more like something from another Saturday morning cartoon character: Wiley E. Coyote, using yet another great invention from Acme Mfg.
Your personal “strap-on helicopter.”
Technologia Aeroespacial Mexicana (TAM), the company behind the Libelula strap-on helicopter, explains on its Web site how the [...]

Crash and Burn

London Mayor, “Red Ken” Livingstone, was upended in yesterday’s re-election attempt, completing a nightmare day for Gordon Brown’s Labour Party.
Boris Johnson is the new Mayor of London, his rivals conceded tonight.
The Tory MP scored a stunning election victory to end Ken Livingstone’s eight-year reign and round off a disastrous 24 hours for the Labour Party.

Red Ken to get the boot?

Voters in London will go to the polls today, and Hizzoner Red Ken Livingstone appears to be on his way out.
Cool.
from Yahoo News:
LONDON (AFP) - London mayor Ken Livingstone went head-to-head with his maverick rival Boris Johnson Thursday, amid predictions the Conservative challenger could just win, if only by a blond hair’s breadth.
The “Ken versus [...]

Does J. Wright Remember the Zebra Killings?

Rev J. Wright has been all over the news for the past few days, and the following was just one of many very revealing comments. His defense of the Nation of Islam, and Louis Farrakhan, at the National Press Club was vintage left-wing “victim politics”…. (HotAir has the clip)

“Louis Farrakhan is not my enemy. [...]
