Roswell officer’s amazing deathbed admission raises possibility that aliens DID visit

Exactly 60 years ago, a light aircraft was flying over the Cascade Mountains in Washington State, at a height of around 10,000ft.

Suddenly, a brilliant flash of light illuminated the aircraft. Visibility was good and as pilot Kenneth Arnold scanned the sky to find the source of the light, he saw a group of nine shiny metallic objects flying in formation.

He estimated their speed as being around 1,600 miles per hour – nearly three times faster than the top speed of any jet aircraft at the time. He described the craft as arrow-shaped and said they moved in a jerky motion – ‘like a saucer would if you skipped it across the water’.

A reporter seized on this phrase and in his story described the objects as ‘flying saucers’. The age of the Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) had begun…..

Lieutenant Walter Haut was the public relations officer at the base in 1947, and was the man who issued the original and subsequent press releases after the crash on the orders of the base commander, Colonel William Blanchard.

Haut died last year, but left a sworn affidavit to be opened only after his death.

Last week, the text was released and asserts that the weather balloon claim was a cover story, and that the real object had been recovered by the military and stored in a hangar. He described seeing not just the craft, but alien bodies.

Hillary’s high negatives show up in new poll

More than half of Americans say they wouldn’t consider voting for Sen. Hillary Clinton for president if she becomes the Democratic nominee, according to a new national poll.The poll by Mason-Dixon Polling and Research found that 52 percent of Americans wouldn’t consider voting for Clinton, D-N.Y.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, a Republican, was second in the can’t-stand-’em category, with 46 percent saying they wouldn’t consider voting for him.

Clinton is considered a polarizing figure who’d be a tough sell to some voters, especially men, but also Clinton-haters of both genders. Thursday’s survey provides a snapshot of the challenges she faces, according to Larry Harris, a Mason-Dixon principal. SOURCE

Before anyone on our side starts feeling giddy about this poll, I would ask you to consider this:

More than half of all Americans DIDN’T vote for George W. Bush in either election. As a matter of fact, this article says nothing at all about whom they polled, but it is not a poll of “likely voters.” Hillary has high “negatives”. So what? That’s nothing new. If she gets the donk nomination as expected, I can assure you she will be a most formidable candidate.

So another day another bomb plot. I have included Islam in the categories of this story though I don’t have any evidence as such, just the usual suspects….. The British radio is giving out very few details. Central London is gridlocked. A major attack has been averted. Thank the Lord.

Police defused a “potentially viable explosive device” in a car in Central London in the early hours of this morning, after what appeared to be an attempted terrorist attack against a nightclub in the heart of the capital.

The silver Mercedes was discovered in the Haymarket area, after police were contacted at 2am with concerns about a suspicious car.

Witnesses said that the vehicle contained two gas canisters and nails were on the floor of the boot. They added that the car had been driven into a series of bins outside a nightclub in the area called Tiger Tiger.

The driver of the car was then seen to have jumped out of the car and run away. It is believed that a nightclub bouncer then went to investigate the empty car, and called police after believing it was suspicious. A massive manhunt for the driver of the vehicle is under way.

Update: Double decker bus on Park Lane being investigated; possible bomb.

Correction, it is not the bus, but another car that is involved.  Authorities are saying that both incidents are linked.

Fuel shortages have triggered a mandatory gas rationing plan in Iran. It hasn’t gone over well with the Iranian people, as stories of protests, and molotov cocktail parties at over a dozen gas stations in Tehran has alarmed the regime. Their solution? Crack down and censorship.

Iran’s top security body has ordered local journalists not to report on problems caused by petrol rationing, a day after its surprise introduction.

Angry motorists have reacted violently to the curbs, attacking up to 19 petrol stations in the capital, Tehran.

There are still long queues outside filling stations.

The authorities switched off the mobile text messaging system in Tehran overnight to prevent motorists from organising more protests.

The BBC’s Frances Harrison in Tehran said that many Iranians are already on edge because of a recent sharp rise in the cost of living.

During Wednesday’s unrest, motorists threw stones and shouted slogans against President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Sutton should resign

In the last six months, agents along the Southwest border caught 15 people from Iran, 35 from Pakistan, 12 from Jordan, two from Syria and five from Lebanon. Conservatives have been deeply disappointed with the Administration’s half-hearted efforts to provide Border Security. We’ve also been more than just a little puzzled with the actions of US Attorney Johnny Sutton, whose over-zealous prosecution of Border Agents has led to the controversial imprisonment of Agents Compean and Ramos, and the prosecution of a Sheriff’s Deputy, while protecting dope dealers and illegal immigrants.

It’s time for Sutton to go.

On June 30, the San Antonio and Austin Chapters of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps. and hundreds of bikers from American Freedom Riders — a group dedicated to stopping illegal immigration from coming across the border — will surround Sutton’s office at high noon and call for him to resign.

More than 1,000 people are expected to rally Saturday outside the offices of U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton in San Antonio to demand his termination and protest his “malicious prosecution” of law-enforcement officers who sought to arrest illegal aliens.

Floods mess with Texas

Heavy rains and high winds belted parts of the state early Tuesday, causing flooding, forcing street closures and damaging houses and other structures…

Gov. Rick Perry has ordered search and rescue teams to be at a high state of readiness to provide rapid responses when necessary, according to a state emergency situation report.

The severe weather shows no sign of letting up, according to the National Weather Service.

Coulter v Edwards on Hardball

I used to watch Chris Matthews’ Hardball regularly. That was before the entire MSNBC network went over to the darkside of BDS. Now, I generally see a few clips a month, but seldom watch an entire program.

In all of that time, I’ve never seen Matthews try to ambush a guest before. He is manner is often brusque, combative, opinionated, rude, and interrupting, but as I said, I’ve never seen the 60-minutes style ambush interview before. He tried it yesterday with his on-air guest, Ann Coulter. Unknown to Ms. Coulter, Matthews had previously invited the Elizabeth Edwards to call in and confront Ann over so-called “hate” speech. Ms. Coulter more than held her own. As a matter of fact, it was a smackdown. h/t to Dr. Zoo (FR) for the video.

So it’s farewell then Tony. What did you do for the British Isles – or did you in fact do anything? Charles Moore in the Telegraph has a few interesting, and for me, accurate remarks.

 

When Margaret Thatcher was forced out in November 1990, almost everyone could have given an account – favourable or unfavourable – of what she had done. “She’s put the Great back in Britain,” said some. “She’s destroyed the social fabric,” said others.

It is much harder to sum up Tony Blair in terms of what he has actually done, for good or ill. He inherited a successful, but over-regulated and overtaxed economy. That is what he leaves behind. He inherited educational failure. No change there, either. He inherited a health service struggling half-heartedly with reform. That is still the case.

In 1997, there was economic inequality, too much crime, anxiety about immigration, a battle about “multi-culturalism”, and indecision about Europe. Ten years later, snap. Even the famed peace process in Northern Ireland flowed naturally from the earlier work of John Major.

Oddly enough, it is only in the field of the constitution, in which Tony Blair never expressed much interest, that huge changes have taken place. The relationship between the judges, government and Parliament is now dangerously in flux. The United Kingdom, thanks to Europe from above and devolution from below, is starting to unpick.

True – he did the right thing on Iraq and I will always thank him for that. But at what expense to his homeland in neglecting other things needful?

Hillary’s got a secret

MSNBC is reporting that Bill Clinton has begun the first stage of his campaign on behalf of his better half with a curious email fundraising pitch:

“She’s also the best candidate to beat the Republican machine. You know Hillary will never let a swift boat-style attack go unanswered.”

The Clintons have enough in their collective skeleton closets to keep any number of would-be muckrakers busy for the next 20 years. So, what is it that has the former President’s panties in a wad? The typical Carville-Begala play would be to try and get out in front of any damaging information, and try to frame the issue as a “personal attack”, claiming the victim’s mantle at the hands of the evil vast right wing conspiracy.

It’s just a hunch, but I think the Paul v. Clinton lawsuit is starting to worry the Clinton machine. Not familiar with this case? Not surprisingly, it has been largely ignored by the major media.

A website called the Hillary Clinton Accountability Project purports to document the “largest campaign finance fraud in America’s history.” Just last week, a “smoking gun” video was introduced as evidence in the lawsuit. According to HILLCAP,

This tape was withheld by the U.S. Attorney in New York from 2001 until April 11, 2007, when it was released to Paul’s attorneys at the US Justice Foundation, depriving three federal investigations of this evidence of Hillary Clinton’s role in the campaign finance frauds for which her finance director David Rosen was indicted in 2005.

In the last Presidential election, the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth began a shoestring effort to reveal the truth about Lt. John F. Kerry’s record of service during the Vietnam War. Largely ignored by the major media, the internet based crusade ultimately had a devastating effect on the Kerry campaign, in a way that only the truth can.

If former President Clinton wishes to compare the Paul v. Clinton case to the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth, then he does so at great peril. The Clintons know that they can count on their allies in the major media to continue to ignore the story, but much like the Swiftboat Veterans, the truth has a way of being heard. For the Clintons, confronting the case this close to the election is a high stakes gamble, but the Clintons have never been one to shy away from a fight. Besides, if the case is true, then they really have no other choice.

Abu Hamza has refused any more treatment from his prison nurse after finding out the man is gay.

The nurse, nickname Queenie, has been helping to wash and dress the convicted terrorist for more than two years.

A prison source told the Mirror the full-time staffer is openly gay and has a camp voice.

Officers at Belmarsh jail are said to be surprised Hamza, 48, has not noticed before.

Now the cleric is claiming it is against his religion and human rights to be treated by a homosexual. The source said Hamza’s solicitor wrote to the governor demanding his client is given a new regular nurse….
The source said: “The nurse is upset about it. He has spent the last couple of years doing everything for Hamza, even wiping his bottom.” …

Egyptian-born Hamza, serving seven years for inciting murder and racial hatred, requires care because he is limited by his hook hands.

There is a kind of poetic justice in this situation for Hamza. It reminds me of an old Buddy Hackett joke. “Any time I start to feel sorry for myself, I think about about the Siamese twin, whose brother is gay, they share the same azzhole, and the boyfriend is coming over.” Heh.

Global warming is such a threat to security that military planners must build it into their calculations, the head of the armed forces said on Monday.

Jock Stirrup, chief of the defence staff, said risks that climate change could cause weakened states to disintegrate and produce major humanitarian disasters or exploitation by armed groups had to become a feature of military planning.

But he said first analyses showed planners would not have to switch their geographical focus, because the areas most vulnerable to climate change are those where security risks are already high.

“Just glance at a map of the areas most likely to be affected and you are struck at once by the fact that they are exactly those parts of the world where we see fragility, instability and weak governance today.

“It seems to me rather like pouring petrol onto a burning fire,” Stirrup told the Chatham House think-tank in London.

So that’s O.K. then….and with Tony Blair the world’s Middle East envoy we are all safe and can sleep soundly.

Iran raises the stakes

Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces have been spotted by British troops crossing the border into southern Iraq, The Sun tabloid reported on Tuesday.

Britain’s defence ministry would not confirm or deny the report, with a spokesman declining to comment on “intelligence matters”.

An unidentified intelligence source told the tabloid: “It is an extremely alarming development and raises the stakes considerably. In effect, it means we are in a full on war with Iran — but nobody has officially declared it.”

“We have hard proof that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps have crossed the border to attack us. It is very hard for us to strike back. All we can do is try to defend ourselves. We are badly on the back foot.”

The Sun said that radar sightings of Iranian helicopters crossing into the Iraqi desert were confirmed to it by very senior military sources.

In response to the report, a British defence ministry spokesman said: “There is evidence that explosive devices used against our troops in southern Iraq originated in Iran.”

We live in interesting times. Not long ago, I blogged about a Purdue University research team that had engineered a process to generate hydrogen from aluminum. That was pretty amazing.

A few minutes ago, I ran across this video over at Breitbart. If you think the hydrogen process was cool, then you’re going to love this. A retired broadcast engineer from Ohio, John Kanzius (pronounced kansas), has discovered a process to convert salt water to fuel. I kid you not.

Chavez ups the ante

CARACAS, Venezuela — President Hugo Chavez urged soldiers on Sunday to prepare for a guerrilla-style war against the United States, saying that Washington is using psychological and economic warfare as part of an unconventional campaign aimed at derailing his government.

Under Chavez, Venezuela has recently purchased some $3 billion worth of arms from Russia, including 53 military helicopters, 100,000 Kalashnikov rifles, 24 SU-30 Sukhoi fighter jets.Last week, Chavez said he is considering arms purchases, including submarines and a missile-equipped air defense system, as he prepares for a tour of Russia, Belarus and Iran.“We are strengthening Venezuela’s military power precisely to avoid imperial aggressions and assure peace, not to attack anybody,” he said Sunday. source

According to Swedish paleogeophysicist Nils-Axel Mörner, who’s been studying and writing about sea levels for four decades, the scientists working for the IPCC have falsified data and destroyed evidence to incorrectly prove their point.
