Biden: the next to go under the bus

Already the Democrat long knives are out, clearing the path for the exit of Joe Biden from the Democratic Party ticket.

CBS News and The Politico have picked up on the story by investigative reporters Chuck Neubauer and Tom Hamburger in the LA Times.

a potential conflict of interest involving Biden and one of the nation’s biggest asbestos litigation law firms — which also happens to be his top contributor.

The report seems to provide fuel to Obama supporters enraged Illinois senator picked a running mate with such deep ties to the D.C. cash-politics-lobbying world.

The Associated Press has the story of Biden, and his questionable relationship with MBNA, the largest employer in Delaware. Coincidentally, employees of MBNA make up the largest source of campaign contributions for Biden.

A son of Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden was paid an undisclosed amount of money as a consultant by MBNA, the largest employer in Delaware, during the years the senator supported legislation that was promoted by the credit card industry and opposed by consumer groups.

And, oh, by the way:

In a separate matter in which Hunter Biden’s lobbying activities were referenced, he and Biden’s brother Jim have been sued for allegedly defrauding an ex-business partner.

As Obama’s under-the-bus crowd continues to grow, it is clear that the preparations for an emergency Bidenectomy have been made. The only thing standing between this happening is Sarah Palin’s Wednesday night acceptance speech at the RNC. If she does poorly, then Biden stays. But, if she performs well, and wows not only the partisans in St. Paul but also the independents watching on their television screens, then the worst fears of the Liberals will have been realized.

Obama will have no other choice but to dump Biden and choose the only VP candidate that will give him a winning shot.

Hillary Clinton.

She’s Baaaack. Just remember folks, you read it here first.

Update 2: Estrich estimates 30% of HRC voters will bolt for McPal

Update 3: CNN takes a look and concludes that it will be Palin who withdraws. [note to Mina Kimes: Intrade had Mitt Romney as the odds-on favorite for the veep slot last week.]

  1. This story is coming too late. Obama is stuck with Biden now.

But Hillary is always waiting to return. Could it still happen? The “dream” ticket — Obama-Hillary?

  2. It’s never too late for the annointed one. He will give Biden a choice: either back out for “health reasons” or receive a Bidenectomy.

Of course, I could be wrong. Heh

  3. The dems are Sooo Screewwd!!

  4. Lord, can he do that? I can’t remember a time when once a VP was announced they were un-picked. Why he ever picked Biden is beyond me, the man never performs well in the polls – he is known as ‘mean joe’ to pretty much everybody – seems to go counter to all the love that ‘Bama is s’posed to be about, you know?

Even if he does – I cant see him choosing Hillary – don’t think Missus ‘Bama would let him do it – if he’s smart, he’ll choose a southerner with a following…maybe Richardson? I dunno.

But this dude seems to be imploding – no wonder his ears look bigger than usual. 😉

  5. He can. and he is ruthless enough to do it.
I remember McGovern dumping Eagleton in 72, but that reflected badly on McGovern.
Obama will have to be much more “slick” in order to pull it off, but I can see it happening.

  6. Biden was a cynical political selection, intended to appeal to the one demographic B-HO is having trouble with, and the only group that no President has ever been elected without it’s majority…white males.
Now with the obvious affection the nation has for Super Sarah, especially women, dumping “plugs” for Hillary is another cynical political selection, but one that would make sense for the donks.
Biden’s ethical problems aren’t new, I was reading about his son’s indictment before the donk convention.
I’ll remember I saw it here first, though, no probs.

  7. he is ruthless enough to do it

I disagree on that point. B-HO isn’t running his campaign, Soros is through his hundreds of proxies working as B-HO’s handlers., and he is ruthless enough to do it.

  8. true dat

  9. The lack of class by libtards on display.

  10. I saw that. I think the DOJ should be called in to prosecute this violation of federal law.

  11. that’s it for me. Long weekend. very long.

  12. Good to see you back, nuke.
Glad it wasn’t as bad as it was once feared.

  13. I doubt if Hillary would take it. If I were her, I’d just back out and let that trainwreck take its natural course.

There’s been waaaaay too much disrespect for Hillary from the Obama camp for her to even consider taking the number 2 position, IMO.

  14. You’re probably right, Swampie.
However, there is always Ft. Marcy Park.

  15. […] Biden: the next to go under the bus […]

  16. The Palin Effect.
I remembered that I heard it here first. 😉

  17. imagine that! 😎
