Why I won’t be voting for Barack

It will come as no great surprise to regular readers of this blog that I have decided to not vote for BH Obama next month. Since several respected Republican pundits and politicians have stirred the pot recently by making their reasoning for endorsing Obama part of the political discourse, I thought I might reveal some of the reasons why I am not supporting him, especially since McCain was not my first, or even my second choice in the Republican primary.

One of the great pleasures of self employment for me is the freedom to decide with whom to do business. In a small business, the need for trust is critical. I wouldn’t any more hire a known liar than I would risk a large inventory to a potential client without an unimpeachable letter of credit. Why would I jeopardize the financial security of those who depend on me by making such an immature business decision?

Further, I wouldn’t knowingly decide to depend upon a supplier with a track record of not doing what he says he will do. Choosing vendors and suppliers is as much about dependability and accountability as it is about cost.

Bottom line is this: since I get to choose, I choose not to do business with liars.

My vote is no less important.

On several occasions, Obama verbally committed to participating in public Presidential financial system, saying he would “aggressively pursue an agreement” with John McCain. In fact, he completed the MDN Questionnaire which included this question…

Question I-B:
If you are nominated for President in 2008 and your major opponents agree to forgo private funding in the general election campaign, will you participate in the presidential public financing system?

OBAMA: Yes. …[snip]… Senator John McCain (r-AZ) has already pledged to accept this fundraising pledge. If I am the Democratic nominee, I will aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election.

In his first major consequential decision, Obama chose expediency over integrity.

Obama lied. Credibility died. His refusal to keep his word is more than troubling. It is a window into his character. If he will lie about money, what else will he lie about?

I don’t do business with liars, nor will I vote for one.

  1. Well, that’s one lie. Arguably only one among very, very many proveable lies uttered by this corrupt Chicago politician *spit*

“I don’t do business with liars… ” Ditto. “…nor will I vote for one.” Ditto again, though it seriously constricts the field in nearly every political race…

  2. yes, one of many. Listing them all is exhausting.

Mccain said it was like nailing jello to the wall. So, I pick one and hammer it home.

  3. In B-HO’s case, it is also al taqiyya.

  4. What really hurts McCain here is the amnesty deal for illegals. There are a lot of unemployed people from the construction industries. There are jobs available that are being held by illegal aliens. I’ve seen it myself on job sites on holidays and weekends; there are illegal aliens everywhere. These displaced men and women would be Republican voters, but figure that both McCain and Bush screwed them over on immigration as have all the other candidates.

ACORN has been busy here, as well.

My prediction is that there will be a LOT of civic unrest regardless of who is elected. The only work options for a growing number of our workforce is selling illegal drugs or stealing copper.

  5. Regardless, I plan to vote for McCain/Palin and if any real conservatives want to form a third party, they will have my vote.

  6. a few years in the wilderness will bring real conservatism back to the forefront

  7. I was thinking about all the lies from obama, and he is certainly a more talented liar than bill clinton. unbelievably brazen.

In the public financing story, he actually sent his spokesman out to deny that he ever committed to do it.

  8. which is pretty much his MO….send out a spokesman to tell a lie and dissemble. then if he ever deigns to discuss it, he will preface his remarks with, “Now, Look.” Then whatever follows is pure bullshit

  9. I agree he is a bolder liar than Clinton, but not as smooth.
What makes his crap smell so good is the willingness of the LSM to approve of what he says, and never allow his lies to become part of the conversation.

  10. I’m looking forward to Rush’s show tomorrow.
He will be serving up Powell-kabobs.
Limbaugh: Where are the inexperienced, white liberals Powell has endorsed?

  11. “I don’t do business with liars, nor will I vote for one.”

Then you will never vote in your life time… They are all liars.

  12. prove it

  13. Got to agree with the Clinton analogy. However, with all the major media in the tank, he can do no wrong. He’s a lot like Hitler in the way he gets the masses behind him.

    Dija see this Huckabee site?

  14. I’ve never seen that one

  25. Hey nuke, the retard from last night is back.

  26. they’re getting quite desperate, RD.
Unfortunately, their messiah can’t turn a thin resume and a pocketful of BS into an electoral victory.

It’s going to be close, but they will lose. again. And they can’t stand it.

  27. All the polls are within the margin of error. You’re right, they are scared. All of the lies, all of the fraud and all of the viscous attacks, and there still gonna lose.

  31. I cannot understand why the media and so many Americans are mesmerized by Obama. When something is questioned about him, he has such a “sidestepping: reply. Maybe one questionable item at a time can be avoided but why aren’t Americans concerned about ALL the questions? Wright, Ayers, Acorn, etc………..what can be done to wake up America so they will know that Senator John McCain is our ONLY honest choice?

  32. There were reportedly lines of 100 people waiting in line for early voting in Duval county (Jacksonville) throughout the day.

Voting was brisk in my county as well, although the only thing people here will wait in a line of 100 or more for is a football game.

  33. So, Swampie, what time is kick-off?

  34. There weren’t any lines of 100+ people in my county!
