“Telling blow”

Anybody care to speculate on what the “telling blow” will be?

  1. We will see. The fact that the threats come from Khamanei and not Ahmadi-nejad make them more troubling.
The real trouble will be on the streets of Tehran. Just talked to my old friend, a former Governor during the Shah’s regime, and the number of Basij militia and IRGC soldiers will be about 250,000, while the protesters in Tehran are estimated to be about 4,000,000. Khamanei wants these protests to stop, especially on this date, the birth of the IRI, and he may order his IRGC and Basij to open fire.
As for this “big blow”, I would caution Israel to be alert, and for all of us to keep a hand on our zippers.

  2. Here are a couple of blogs that plan on live blogging, but I don’t know how effective they will be, as the government plans on shutting down all communications. They did manage to hack the official Iranian news agency’s web site.
    Homylafayette Iran News in English.

    Planet Iran.
