Thank you, Andrew C. McCarthy

Andrew C. McCarthy has penned a piece that says exactly what I would say if I had the words. Here is an excerpt, and here is a link so that you can read the whole thing.

For the better part of two decades, Americans have been murdered by Islamists and then lectured that they are to blame for what has befallen them. We have been instructed in the need for special sensitivity to the unceasing demands of Islamic culture and falsely accused of intolerance by the people who wrote the book on intolerance. Americans have sacrificed blood and bottomless treasure for Islamic peoples who despise Americans — and despise us even more as our sacrifices and gestures of self-loathing intensify. Americans have watched as apologists for terrorists and sharia were made the face of an American Muslim community that we were simultaneously assured was the very picture of pro-American moderation. […] We look around us and we see our country unrivaled by anything in the history of human tolerance. We see thousands of thriving mosques, permitted to operate freely even though we know for a fact that mosques have been used against us, repeatedly, to urge terrorism, recruit terrorists, raise money for terrorists, store and transfer firearms, and inflame Muslims against America and the West. As Islamists rage against us, we see Islam celebrated in official Washington. As we reach out for the umpty-umpth time, we find Muslim leaders taking what we offer, but always with complaint and never with reciprocation. We’re weary, and we don’t really care if that means that Time magazine, Michael Bloomberg, Katie Couric, Fareed Zakaria, and the rest think we’re bad people — they think we’re bad people, anyway.

  1. That is one of the most impressive orderings of cogent thought through words I have ever encountered.

  2. Ain’t it, though!

Glad to see you made it through the bad weather in the Big D

  3. Yeah, guess he weren’t sucked up in one o’ them twisters. Glad to “see” you unscathed.

  4. Thanks, y’all.
It’s been one rough ass ride with this weather since Tuesday.
Flashing signals at busy intersections, freeway lanes closed due to flooding, wrecks, homes and businesses flooded. Then, when I finally got home around 5, after successfully navigating around the major intersections that were flashing red, I cranked up the tube and the PC, only to find that tornadoes were forming, just as we thought the whole thing was about over. As I was watching a tornado making a straight line for my area, *poof* cable/broadband go out and the weather sirens started blaring. A few nervous moments, but it passed weakly overhead, just dropping copious amounts of rain(on top of the 8-10inches we already had in the past 30 hours).

  5. Dang. Y’all sound like us. When they tell us to take shelter from the tornado, ain’t no place to go.

    • It’s the same all across the South.
We had six form and touch down all in a short period of time.
The good news is, little property damage and only one injury to a truck driver that had his rig lifted up and thrown into the side of a brick building.

  6. For the better part of two centuries, the United States has robbed the indigenous peoples of the Middle East of treasure and resources, resorting to the overthrow of legitimate democratically elected governments (Mossadegh/Iran 1953) when necessary to insure that US companies and their corporate kin can obtain oil at artificially low prices.

In 1990, the US government gave Saddam Hussein the greenlight to attack Kuwait when Ambassador April Glaspie told him the US does not get involved in intra-Arab squabbles. After he invaded, the US double-crossed Hussein at the behest of the notably nervous Saudi royal family, and GUlf War I was launched, including stationing troops in Saudi Arabia.

In response to the 9/11 bombings, the US invaded Iraq a second time, a country that had nothing whatsoever to do with the attack. SInce then the US has been responsible for the deaths of 1.2 million Iraqis, or approximately 3% of the population of Iraq. The equivalent number would be 10,000,000 Americans.

Meanwhile, corporatist clowns like Andrew C. McCarthy whine about the murder of Americans by evil Islam, totally ignoring the continuing murder of Iraqi, Afghani and Pakistani civilians in the US’s moronically conducted war on terror.

The United States has 900+ military bases in 130 countries around the world. China has 0. I don’t see Islamic terrorists attacking China.

    • China doesn’t have time for terrorist, it has UFO’s to worry about.

    • At first glance, bob, your comment begs for a proper fisking.
By the time I reached the last sentence I find the value of your contribution to be equal to bovine excrement.
Go back to your Soros funded brain fart institute, it doesn’t work here.
BTW, bob, have you ever heard of the Uighurs? And wiki isn’t the source you should be looking at.
