While all thoughts turn to a National Championship for our favorite teams, we need a final look back at how the last season ended for the Texas wHorns and what it might mean for them moving forward.
A further look back at the last time Texas had a share of the conference championship, their * season, which may be their impetus for wanting to blow-up the current conference.
Problems at popular news site “Free Republic” have continued into a second day.
“They changed their IP address last month from 209.157.64.201 to 209.157.64.200,” said conservative blogging legend Nuke Gingrich. I haven’t heard if they are having any technical issues. They finished their quarterly fundraiser a few days ago, so money’s not the problem. It’s too early to rule out cyber mischief from either the Chinese, or the Obama people. Neither one of them care too much for the bitter clingers over at FR,” Gingrich said.
We will continue to monitor the situation, and will provide updates as we learn more.
Writing at Hillbuzz.org, Kevin DuJan opines that Sarah Palin is in the 2012 race, but is delaying her entry into the race as long as possible. If true, it’s an interesting strategery. Here are Kevin’s bullet points:
1. Wait as long as possible to enter the race so that she is not attacked as a front-runner out of the gate.
2. Allow other candidates to be called “unelectable”, amongst other media memes, so SHE can be the alternative.
3. Let the media vet — or, more apt, rip apart — competitors before revealing her true intentions.
4. Take down the establishment elite before they even see her attacks coming.
5. Cultivate a network of individual, personal support on the ground BEFORE hiring the consulting team, and making the campaign official.
In a ruling that can only be seen as a major setback for the fledgling Texas Longhorn Network, the NCAA has ruled that High school games cannot be aired on school or conference networks.
NCAA President Mark Emmert said that “NCAA staff had made the interpretation and board of directors had approved it. Texas A&M had lobbied the NCAA hard for such an interpretation. It’s unclear whether this changes A&M’s reported intentions.
TLN and ESPN officials said previously they would be comfortable with whatever the NCAA decided. But clearly ESPN/TLN had ambitious plans. TLN chief Dave Brown said in June that the network had planned to televise up to 18 games per season. He also said there were plans to fly to different states to televise the games of players who had committed to Texas.” source

Have you ever wondered what a mammoth actually tastes like? In theory, you might soon find out for yourself. Sometimes it needs to be fast, for example in the morning when the snooze button is hit at once a few times. Or in the middle of the day, when you suddenly feel hungry without warning. Or in the evening, when you don’t feel like long cooking sessions on the stove after a long day. […]
