NCAA Football: Week One~Sooners Romp

Not many upsets throughout the country, though some of the alleged sports “experts” are doubling down on the dumb-ass to explain why their “darlings” struggled.

In Norman, Ok. it was Coach Stoops 200th game as the Sooners’ head coach and his 161st victory. The first team units on offense and defense looked to be in mid season form and thoroughly dominated the out manned Tech Bulldogs.

By midway through the second quarter Sooner backups were being sprinkled into starting line ups and by the third quarter the reserves on defense were in nearly every position. On offense the talented, yet inexperienced RBs, proved there is no cause for concern. They performed well as a group, and with the massive and veteran O-line they were beasts.

The team gave great effort, were focused and no serious injuries occurred, which were three things I was hoping for.

As is the custom at OU, the official intro video was played prior to the players taking the field and it was very well done.

One significant event took place, OU’s leading WR Sterling Shepherd passed his father on the all time receiving yardage list with his TD catch. R.I.P. Derrick, your son is destined to be an all-time Sooner great, as you were.

Bulletin: Imminent Terrorist Attack on Southwest Border

Islamic terrorist groups are operating in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez and planning to attack the United States with car bombs or other vehicle born improvised explosive devices (VBIED). High-level federal law enforcement, intelligence and other sources have confirmed to Judicial Watch that a warning bulletin for an imminent terrorist attack on the border has been issued.  Agents across a number of Homeland Security, Justice and Defense agencies have all been placed on alert and instructed to aggressively work all possible leads and sources concerning this imminent terrorist threat.

Specifically, Judicial Watch sources reveal that the militant group Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) is confirmed to now be operating in Juarez, a famously crime-infested narcotics hotbed situated across from El Paso, Texas. Violent crimes are so rampant in Juarez that the U.S. State Department has issued a number of travel warnings for anyone planning to go there. The last one was issued just a few days ago.

Intelligence officials have picked up radio talk and chatter indicating that the terrorist groups are going to “carry out an attack on the border,” according to one JW source.  “It’s coming very soon,” according to this high-level source, who clearly identified the groups planning the plots as “ISIS and Al Qaeda.” An attack is so imminent that the commanding general at Ft. Bliss, the U.S. Army post in El Paso, is being briefed, another source confirms. The time to come up with an effective strategy for dealing with these cretins is long overdue, but our current President of the United States is much too busy fundraising and playing racially divisive political games to bother.

When this attack occurs, the S.O.P. reaction of the Administration will be to first feign surprise.  Then, blame it on someone else, probably another intelligence failure.  We can be sure that no one at the White House will know anything about it until they see it on the Media.

I have developed a throbbing case of Obama fatigue.  To say his act is old is understated.

Rep. Ted Poe (R-TX) was asked if there is any current interaction between ISIS and Mexican drug cartels he said “yes” and added they are “talking to each other.”  (Joshua characterizes this assertion as “ridiculous”).

Who cares about all this terrorism business anyway, when the real problem is …(wait for it) …global warming.

NCAA Football: Only Two Days To Go

When the Oklahoma Sooners kick off the 2014 season, it will have been two hundred forty days since their last game. That was in the Sugar Bowl and the victory party lasted until Spring training.

The offense is loaded with talented skill players, which will be operating under the protective shield provided by a deep, huge, veteran offensive line that has a total of one hundred seven career starts.

The defense returns nine starters and they will be bigger, faster and stronger than last year, adding about 20-30lbs. per man on the front five(they run the traditional Oklahoma 50 defense).

Expectations are high that the Sooners will make a serious run for their Eighth National Championship not only because of the coaching and talent, but also because of their schedule. The games projected to be the most difficult(Tennessee/K-St./Ok. St./Baylor) are all home games.

The tradition of winning championships has been instilled at OU and that tradition speaks to the players every day and attracts young recruits who wish to be a part of it.

OU is the only school to have four head coaches with more than one hundred victories in their careers. Coaches Bennie Owens, Bud Wilkinson, Barry Switzer and now Bob Stoops. Each man has left his mark on OU football history and its tradition of championships.

From an OU football perspective; those who don’t learn from their history and repeat it, are doomed.

Stevie Ray Vaughan was looking pretty rough his last few years on the planet: drugs and bad habits.  I think a helicopter crash was a much better way to go than an OD, or a suicide, or some other graceless exit that so many of our most talented seem to gravitate toward.

Ice bucket racism

It was fun  at first.

Someone accepts a challenge to donate to ALS or be douched with a bucket of ice water, and they in turn challenge someone else to do the same thing. Or something.

Then the whole episode is recorded on a smart phone and uploaded to Facebook.

I just checked my Newsfeed. At least one out of every three posts is somebody getting douched.

The crowd-sourced fundraiser has set records, and is still rolling. It doesn’t seem to be slowing down either.

Then, this post caught my eye:

Hence, the title of this post.

ALS primarily affects white men.  Apparently this young woman believes that the charity isn’t worthy, because the victims of the disease are white.

Racism is ugly.  Doesn’t matter if it’s white racism or black racism.

Five of my Bullies have garnered pre-season all-sec recognition.

Leading the way for the Maroon and White was preseason All-America sophomore defensive lineman Chris Jones, who was named to the second-team defense. Redshirt junior Benardrick McKinney was also named to the second team, while senior defensive back Jamerson Love was selected to the third team. Redshirt junior quarterback Dak Prescott and senior Jameon Lewis earned third-team accolades on offense.  source

 

We open the season at home against Southern Miss.  Mrs. Nuke and I plan to be camping down on the Bogue Chitto River for the weekend, so I’ll have my trusty radio tuned to Bulldog Radio Network, with the TV back home set to record the action. (sec network- ch 611 on dtv)

Southern Miss has been down for the past couple of years, after having been one of the more consistent winners in Conference USA forever.  They really want to get back on track against State, but it just ain’t gonna happen.

In fact, I pity the fools.

Gov. Perry Shows How To “Mug” For The Camera

The radical left apparently doesn’t care about optics, as long as they can get an indictment on a GOP politician that poses any kind of threat to their electoral designs.

If they cared about optics, the last thing they would want is to remind of us the drunken fool Rosemary Lehmberg who was arrested for DUI in 2013 with a BAT of .239(.08 is the legal standard).

This drunken fool has now become a national figure and the new face of the Texas Democrat Party, which must be upsetting Wendy “Abortion Barbie” Davis.

Continuing with the optics of this political farce is today’s release of Gov. Perry’s “mug shot” at the same Travis County Sheriff’s office. He might want to use this one for any campaign ads he is planning.

Besides the fact that Gov. Perry was using his constitutional authority that the Dems claim is illegal, and many liberal commentators are groaing over their charge, this event has not gone quite the way the Dems had hoped.

Islamic militants losing ground in Iraq under fire from US forces have threatened to launch terrorist attacks on American soil in revenge.

A video posted online by the Islamic State (Isis) warned that Americans will be attacked “in any place” if air strikes continue to hit its fighters.

After showing footage of a US soldier apparently being killed by a sniper and a photo of an American beheaded during the Iraq occupation, a statement in English reads:

“We will drown all of you in blood”.

 

Irony and satire is lost on these inbred cockroaches.  Still, I haven’t heard this kind of bluster since Saddam’s “Mother of all Battles” catchphrase.

It is time the world is rid of this infestation.

Bomb them ruthlessly, continuously, and completely until they are no more.

In Todd We Trust

In the North American IRONMAN Championships, my brother-in-law Todd Wilson has just completed his amazing run in the 50-59 age category.

Fifteen hours, 27 minutes, 52 seconds.  Let this sink in….

The first leg, a 2.4 mile swim.

The second leg, a 112 mile bike ride.

And finally, a grueling 26.2 mile marathon run.

I can’t wrap my head around it, and I am so proud of this guy.  I’ll tell you his incredible story some day.

So glad to know you, brah.   Congratulations!!

Hurricane Camille, 45 years later

Everyone remembers the Hurricane Party at the Richelieu Apts that claimed 23 lives. Even Walter Cronkite reported on it. It was a great story, and IT WAS TOTALLY FALSE!

All that remained of the Richelieu Apartments after Hurricane Camille was the foundation slab. Ben Duckworth suffered recurring nightmares about a friend he lost in the storm. He revisited the site in 1972, where the cement slab was well hidden by bushes. Duckworth returned again in 2001 to try to correct the Richelieu story that persists as a Hurricane Party where everyone perished but one.

In the days following Camille, the national news people cruised the Coast ready to engage anyone who would talk.

The voice of Walter Cronkite, one of the most respected TV newsmen of 1969, lost its comforting timbre when he told the world about Hurricane Camille and its destruction of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The camera panned a cement slab littered with debris, which was all that remained of a three-story luxury apartment complex.

“This is the site of the Richelieu Apartments in Pass Christian, Mississippi,” Cronkite said. “This is the place where 23 people laughed in the face of death. And where 23 people died.”

Josephine Duckworth was watching television in Jackson — and that is how she was notified that her 24-year-old son, Ben, was dead. He was a Richelieu resident who had ignored her pleas to evacuate. Now he was dead! Because Cronkite said so. Her husband, Hubert Duckworth, immediately headed to the Coast to claim their son’s body and he stared at the Richelieu rubble, expecting the worst. It was then, that Mike Gannon, a storm-battered 29-year-old Texas Seabee, greeted him. “Where can I find my son’s body?” the father inquired.

“Ben isn’t dead,” Gannon told him. “I’ve seen him, and he’s all right.”

Gannon and Duckworth were Richelieu survivors – and they weren’t the only ones. Yet, the most persistent legend to spring from Camille is of a Richelieu Hurricane Party that claimed 23 lives, leaving just one survivor.

Evidence must be collected and preserved to get any type of court to review whether laws have been broken. That job is impossible when the ones being investigated are the ones in power.  Lies, misdirection, stonewalling,  footdragging, and destruction of evidence:  We live in dark, evil, corrupt, lawless times.  It will get worse before it gets better.

I recall that a young Hillary Clinton was one of many Democrats crying bloody murder over 18 minutes of “lost” tape in the Watergate scandal, before she was fired by Jerry Zeifman. Why was she fired? In Zeifman’s own words:

NCAA Football: 25 Days~You Sank My Battleship!

Amen, my bruh!

As for the battleship reference, it takes big “guns” to bring those rascals down and here are just a few.

The first big “gun” belongs to OU sports nutrition director, Tiffany “Coach Tiff” Byrd. Those guys with the skinny arms surrounding her are the defensive linemen.

The next big “gun” belongs to incoming freshman running back Samaje Perine.

SP is a physical marvel. At 5’10” and 245 pounds he also runs a 4.4 forty yard dash. His work ethic and maturity are drawing praise and he is such a punishing runner some fear for the safety of the OU players over the course of the next few weeks before the season starts. During the first day of practice, when the players were only wearing shoulder pads and helmets, he met a defender one on one and the defender was immediately taken off the field for a concussion test.

Perine is eighteen years old and as we used to say back home, “he is a full growed man.”

The first day of practice with full pads was on Monday the 4th and has been the custom at OU since the late 1940’s the Oklahoma drill was front and center for players and fans, alike. I can’t embed the video player, but you can view it HERE.

3474 Days Ago Today

On Meet the Press, 1/30/05, Senator John F. Kerry (who served in Viet Nam) promised to sign his Standard Form 180. It was my understanding that he also promised to make those records public. I still haven’t seen them, have you? Although Kerry claims to have signed his Form 180, and given his permission for the records to be released, the whereabouts and the contents remain an enigma.

In the ensuing three thousand four hundred seventy four days, Senator Kerry has managed to keep a smile on the faces of many conservatives, most any time he opens his mouth. NRO’s Eliana Johnson shared this photo, proving that Kerry doesn’t even have to speak in order to be a laugh-riot!
