So Long, Mike C.

We lost a friend of the blog yesterday.

N2L and I met at another blog (which will not be named) about 10 years ago. It was a forum that had many lively characters, most of whom have since been banned from that website.

One of those characters was a curmudgeon with the nickname “Mike C.”

I didn’t care too much for him at first. then as I got to know him I found that I could handle him in small doses. Over the years, I developed an internet friendship with Mike C. that recognized that there were some things that we just never were going to agree on, and we agreed to disagree.
But, when it came to the issues of the day, and love of our country, we agreed 100%.

Mike C. was a patriot, and an all-around good guy.

He will be missed.

If you would like to sign his guestbook, please go here.

  1. You, n2l and Mike C. are the only ones that I have ever had a conversation with outside of the ‘blogs’. Yes, email counts…

  2. I never really connected with Mike C unlike so many of the old gang.
Curious as to what happened as we are/were the same age.

My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.

    • Stage 4 lung cancer, while working in Trinidad & Tobago. Took him in a matter of months.

      • DANG!
        Thanks, man.
At least his suffering is over for him. God Bless his family.

Lost an old client/friend last month. He had a stroke 9 years ago and spent those last years unable to speak. A man that made his living from speaking all over the world. His passing, sad as it was, was viewed by those who knew him as a blessed relief.
