Mr. Spock has passed away.  LL&P, and now RIP.  One of my favorite television and movie characters, his signature line and salute have become a part of our culture.

He shall be missed.  He was 83 years old.  Very young for a Vulcan.

Greta Reams, Steams, and Dry Cleans Susan Rice

I happened to be watching Greta Van Susteren tonight as she absolutely skewered Susan Rice’s petulant comments about Israel Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu’s upcoming speech to a joint session of Congress next week.  On the Charlie Rose Show, Rice had stated that Bibi’s visit is  “destructive” to the relationship between the US and Israel.  

Ah…maybe she ought to look at her boss’ conduct if she wants to talk ‘destructive’ to the relationship.

Consider this..

1/ Remember when her boss, President Obama, got caught on a hot mike ‘trash talking’ PM Netanyahu with then French President Sarkozy? Does she not think THAT was destructive to the relationship? Insulting another world leader like that?

or how about this?

2/ When the Jewish deli got hit by terrorism in Paris in January, and PM Netanyahu and all those world leaders showed up in solidarity — where was President Obama? A no show! Does she think THAT was not destructive to the relationship? A no show for terrorism on a Jewish deli ?

3/ In October an Administration official called PM Netanyahu in a magazine article “chicken shit” and “a coward.” Does she not think THAT was destructive to the relationship?

And how about the fact that President Obama did not followup with an apology to PM Netanyahu on behalf of his Administration? Does she not think THAT was destructive to the relationship?

And by the way, was SHE the “Administration official” who called PM Netanyahu ‘coward’ and ‘chicken shit?’

Benghazi: The Smoking Gun

We’ve all known it was a lie, the video. It was a lie made up and agreed upon between Obama and Hillary. The end. Period. Enough said.

Now documents have come to light that prove it.

Finally.

Scandal: Heavily redacted documents show a military response had been drafted in answer to the Benghazi terrorist attack by a group supporting “an Islamic state” in Libya. It also showed the attack wasn’t inflamed by a video.

It’s taken Judicial Watch two years to obtain from the most transparent administration in history the 486 pages of documents pertaining to the military response to the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attack on our Benghazi diplomatic mission. They confirm what we have said repeatedly, that the Benghazi tale spun by President Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was indeed a lie agreed upon.

Despite heavy redaction, they show that the real “JV team” — a term applied by Obama to the deadly Islamic State — resides in the White House. The papers reveal, for instance, that at one point the military relied on a photo from a Twitter post to determine the status of Ambassador Christopher Stevens, who was killed with Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith in the first of two attacks.

Several hours later — hours during which a rescue or support attempt arguably could have been made — terrorists killed CIA contractors and former Navy SEALs Ty Woods and Glen Doherty.

The documents confirm the administration lied in insisting the attacks were nothing more than a spontaneous protest over a video offensive to Muslims — protests that escalated to the point participants spontaneously pulled out their mortars and rocket-propelled grenades.

“The DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) terrorism threat level for Libya is significant,” said one formerly withheld email sent before the attack. “The DOS (Department of State) residential criminal threat level for Libya is high and the non-residential criminal threat level is high. The political violence level threat is critical.”

The level of Soviet style criminal activity at the White House has reached spectacular new lows. On February 20, The White House sent out this E-mail announcing that they were going to start attacking individual scientists who dissented from the White House global warming agenda.

A few hours later, this E-mail was sent out to a large group of prominent skeptics. The author used a stolen identity of Harvard’s Dr. Willie Soon, and obtained the list of skeptic E-mails via hacking. The E-mail pre-announced an attack by the press on an individual scientist.

Today they sent out another E-mail using Dr. Soon’s stolen identity, pre-announcing newspaper attacks on other prominent skeptics.

This behavior by the White House, coordinated with the press corps, is straight out of the Stalin era Soviet Union.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise. The White House adopted Soviet era themes from day one.

Susan Coleman: Rumors were circulating in Arkansas of an affair with Bill Clinton. She was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head at 7 1/2 months pregnant. Death was an apparent suicide.

Larry Guerrin: Was killed in February 1987 while investigating the INSLAW case.

Kevin Ives & Don Henry: Initial cause of death was reported to be the result of falling asleep on a railroad track in Arkansas on August 23, 1987. This ruling was reported by the State medical examiner Fahmy Malak. Later it was determined that Kevin died from a crushed skull prior to being placed on the tracks. Don had been stabbed in the back. Rumors indicate that they might have stumbled upon a Mena drug operation.

Keith Coney: Keith had information on the Ives/Henry deaths. Died in a motorcycle accident in July 1988 with unconfirmed reports of a high speed car chase.

Keith McKaskle: McKaskle has information on the Ives/Henry deaths. He was stabbed to death in November 1988.

Gregory Collins: Greg had information on the Ives/Henry deaths. He died from a gunshot wound to the face in January 1989.

Jeff Rhodes: He had information on the deaths of Ives, Henry & McKaskle. His burned body was found in a trash dump in April 1989. He died of a gunshot wound to the head and there was some body mutilation, leading to the probably speculation that he was tortured prior to being killed.

James Milam: Milam had information on the Ives & Henry deaths. He was decapitated. The state Medical examiner, Fahmy Malak, initially ruled death due to natural causes.

Richard Winters: Winters was a suspect in the deaths of Ives & Henry. He was killed in a “robbery” in July 1989 which was subsequently proven to be a setup.

Jordan Kettleson: Kettleson had information on the Ives & Henry deaths. He was found shot to death in the front seat of his pickup in June 1990.

The point of the post, as with most satire, was to expose the absurdity of the leftists in charge by using absurdity.   Who knew that these tongue-in-cheek references would become reality?  Still, we’re dealing with the Obamas.  And, what better way to transform a nation than by criminalizing the political opposition?

I Love Football, Which Is Why I Despise The NFL

I always find it interesting when I meet someone from the North East area of this country and ask them if they are football fans. It is a set-up by me, as I know what they will say. They invariably talk about the NFL and expect to get in a jab at me by mentioning the Dallas Cowboys. The looks on their faces when I tell them I don’t follow the NFL, because I love football, is priceless.

I love football, which to me means high school and college. The NFL is just Hollywood and is as equally morally bankrupt,

I will elaborate, and whether you agree with me or not I think you can at least follow my reasoning.

My interest in football began fifty nine years ago. Football then was very different than today in terms of the rules, popularity and the player’s size and speed. Regardless of those changes it is still a physically violent game based on team goals.
As a young boy I admired the best players and teams at every level of play, and while the NFL was still in its infancy it too was played by men who loved the game and not money, as the sport didn’t pay very well.

As time went by the game has gotten more popular, at every level, and the potential for a very small group of men to make enormous amounts of money at the professional level has made it an attractive goal for the youngest football players.

I followed the NFL from the mid 1950’s until the NFL finally turned me away in 1993. I saw the very first nationally televised NFL Championship game between the NY Giants and the Baltimore Colts in 1958.

I can no longer support the NFL because of what it is, a morally bankrupt organization that I refuse to contribute to, as I will make no purchase of any product that displays the NFL’s official logo, nor will I watch their games. On what has become a national holiday of sorts, “Super Bowl Sunday,” I always tune into the “Puppy Bowl” on Animal Planet channel.

DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz(D-Fla) has been caught with her shorts in a wad, as her behind the scenes squabble with trial lawyer John Morgan burst into plain view on the digital pages of Politico.

Morgan promoted and funded last year’s failed attempt at legalizing weed in Florida to the tune of $4 million of his personal funds, only to be opposed by Debbie.  She committed the unpardonable sin by using Republican talking points to loudly rail against Morgan’s bill.

Now that Debbie is making noises about running for Marco Rubio’s Senate seat, the chickens are coming home to roost, and DWS is trying to make nice. Morgan is having none of it.

He forwarded the email chain to Politico, and it’s all out in the open now.

Schultz’s office offered to change her position on medical marijuana if a major Florida donor recanted his withering criticism of her. ….

“No,” Morgan responded. “She is a bully. I beat bullies up for a living.”

“Her days of pushing people around are over.”

I have a feeling that the pot bill will pass this time around, with or without Debbie’s support.  But her chances of lining up with the big time lawyer money for a Senate run have taken a serious downward turn.

BATFE To Ban Common AR-15 Ammo

Gun Control isn’t about guns.  It’s about control!

In a move clearly intended by the Obama Administration to suppress the acquisition, ownership and use of AR-15s and other .223 caliber general purpose rifles, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives unexpectedly announced today that it intends to ban commonplace M855 ball ammunition as “armor piercing ammunition.” The decision continues Obama’s use of his executive authority to impose gun control restrictions and bypass Congress.

It isn’t even the third week of February, and the BATFE has already taken three major executive actions on gun control. First, it was a major change to what activities constitute regulated “manufacturing” of firearms. Next, BATFE reversed a less than year old position on firing a shouldered “pistol.” Now, BATFE has released a “Framework for Determining Whether Certain Projectiles are ‘Primarily Intended for Sporting Purposes’ Within the Meaning of 18 U.S.C. 921(a)(17)(c)”, which would eliminate M855’s exemption to the armor piercing ammunition prohibition and make future exemptions nearly impossible.

By way of background, federal law imposed in 1986 prohibits the manufacture, importation, and sale by licensed manufacturers or importers, but not possession, of “a projectile or projectile core which may be used in a handgun and which is constructed entirely . . . from one or a combination of tungsten alloys, steel, iron, brass, bronze, beryllium copper, or depleted uranium.” Because there are handguns capable of firing M855, it “may be used in a handgun.” It does not, however, have a core made of the metals listed in the law; rather, it has a traditional lead core with a steel tip, and therefore should never have been considered “armor piercing.” Nonetheless, BATFE previously declared M855 to be “armor piercing ammunition,” but granted it an exemption as a projectile “primarily intended to be used for sporting purposes.”

Now, however, BATFE says that it will henceforth grant the “sporting purposes” exception to only two categories of projectiles:

Category I: .22 Caliber Projectiles

A .22 caliber projectile that otherwise would be classified as armor piercing ammunition under 18 U.S.C. 921(a)(17)(B) will be considered to be “primarily intended to be used for sporting purposes” under section 921(a)(17)(C) if the projectile weighs 40 grains or less AND is loaded into a rimfire cartridge.

Category II: All Other Caliber Projectiles

Except as provided in Category I (.22 caliber rimfire), projectiles that otherwise would be classified as armor piercing ammunition will be presumed to be “primarily intended to be used for sporting purposes” under section 921(a)(17)(C) if the projectile is loaded into a cartridge for which the only handgun that is readily available in the ordinary channels of commercial trade is a single shot handgun. ATF nevertheless retains the discretion to deny any application for a “sporting purposes” exemption if substantial evidence exists that the ammunition is not primarily intended for such purposes.

BATFE is accepting comments until March 16, 2015 on this indefensible attempt to disrupt ammunition for the most popular rifle in America. Check back early next week for a more in-depth analysis of this “framework” and details on how you can submit comments.

Liar Liar Pants On Fire

He’s better at parsing words than Bill Clinton.  Quite an accomplishment, that.

Lately, he seems to be slipping.  I’m talking about White House spokeshole Josh Earnest.  He lies.  You know he is lying.  He knows you know he is lying,  and, he makes no effort to try and make you believe that he’s not lying.  He used to do that; make you think he was on the level, trying his best to get the facts straight, the truth out.

Now, he’s just a lying turd.  A big one.

When confronted with a question about the millions of Americans who will have to cough up close to $2 Billion in penalty taxes this year for not having their health insurance as required by Obamacare (which was confirmed by the Administration’s own Treasury Department, as well as the CBO) Earnest replied,  “I don’t think it is accurate to suggest that millions of people are going to get a tax bill as a result of this.”

I had to really parse this one to make some sense.  Then it hit me.  How many of you actually get a tax bill?  Very few.  We voluntarily comply, fill out the forms, write the check, and curse the bastards for their spendthrift ways.  Right?  We don’t get a bill, unless we get an audit.  And most of those are the letter variety anyway.  So, Earnest is technically telling the truth.  Millions of Americans aren’t going to get a whopping tax penalty bill this year.  Nope,  they’ll simply pay it on April 15, or have it deducted from any anticipated refund.

What a turd.  Eat it Josh Earnest.  And your boss too.

John Kerry: Epic Fail

John Kerry is a complete and utter failure as the Secretary of State. It isn’t even close. This is a man who makes Hillary Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State look competent. He is the perfect Secretary of State for Barack Obama, arguably the worst president in the history of the Republic.

A classic example is currently underway in the nuclear talks with the mullahs in Iran. Kerry’s wicked smart negotiating team is described as negotiating from a position of weakness, and routinely “plea” with Iran in their talks, and that Iran’s leading negotiator “frequently shouts” at U.S. officials. link

And now, according to a survey of professors at the top 25 foreign policy schools conducted by Foreign Policy Magazine, Kerry is the absolute worst Secretary of State in history. source

Is anyone really surprised?

Belated Execution Watch: Robert Ladd(TX)

Not going to use the standard format for this murderer, as his execution took place on 29 Jan 15.

I knew he was scheduled for that day, but based on the number of stays the courts have been issuing lately and his defense teams motions claiming Ladd was “mentally incapable” of understanding his pending execution, I thought this would be another delay. After all, it was already eighteen years since he murdered this victim, Vickie Ann Gardner.

Unfortunately, by the time I discovered his execution would go forward, after clearing the last court hurdles, I was away from the computer and busy.

Ladd had a lengthy criminal history which included the murders of a woman and her two infant children. In 1980 he received two forty year sentences for murder and one sentence of twenty years for arson, then in 1984 he received another forty year sentence for murder. A total of one hundred forty years of sentences by 1984, and yet he was free to murder again twelve years later.

This trash should have been taken out long ago, but for reasons we can only speculate, he was repeatedly released from prison for committing violent crimes and as expected he continued with his murderous ways causing needless suffering to an untold number of people.

In my view, the people responsible for continuing to release this creature from prison should have been strapped down on the gurney next to Ladd.
