Cruz takes Iowa

The most Republican votes EVER in Iowa went to Texas senator Ted Cruz.

Not bad.  Not bad at all.

cruzI’ve listened to the Trump followers for the last couple of weeks, and I’ve gotta say, I’m a little bit surprised.  Especially after the endorsement of Sarah Palin, and the late polls suggesting Trump up by 7-10 points.  To win this first in the nation test is pretty sweet.

Now, on to New Hampshire.

  1. I was surprised Rubio did as well as he did. The Establishment may start to rally around him which could make things tough for Cruz.

Trump’s personal popularity didn’t translate into votes. However, the NE is his home base so we’ll see what happens in NH.

Everyone else in the GOP needs to follow Huckabee’s example and call it quits.

Bernie isn’t going away as Hillary found out last night (depending on your source she won by either 5 or 8 votes).

  2. I was reading about the 6 precincts in Iowa that were decided by a coin toss.
    Hillary won all 6.
She needs to go buy a Powerball ticket

  3. My home state did me proud. On the Democrat side, that surprised me a little bit. I know the American people are sick of the establishment, so it will be interesting in NH and beyond.
