Greta Reams, Steams, and Dry Cleans Susan Rice

I happened to be watching Greta Van Susteren tonight as she absolutely skewered Susan Rice’s petulant comments about Israel Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu’s upcoming speech to a joint session of Congress next week.  On the Charlie Rose Show, Rice had stated that Bibi’s visit is  “destructive” to the relationship between the US and Israel.

Ah…maybe she ought to look at her boss’ conduct if she wants to talk ‘destructive’ to the relationship.

Consider this..

1/ Remember when her boss, President Obama, got caught on a hot mike ‘trash talking’ PM Netanyahu with then French President Sarkozy? Does she not think THAT was destructive to the relationship? Insulting another world leader like that?

or how about this?

2/ When the Jewish deli got hit by terrorism in Paris in January, and PM Netanyahu and all those world leaders showed up in solidarity — where was President Obama? A no show! Does she think THAT was not destructive to the relationship? A no show for terrorism on a Jewish deli ?

or how about this?

3/ In October an Administration official called PM Netanyahu in a magazine article “chicken shit” and “a coward.” Does she not think THAT was destructive to the relationship?

And how about the fact that President Obama did not followup with an apology to PM Netanyahu on behalf of his Administration? Does she not think THAT was destructive to the relationship?

And by the way, was SHE the “Administration official” who called PM Netanyahu ‘coward’ and ‘chicken shit?’

and want more?

how about this?

4/ PM Netanyahu is desperately trying to protect his country from Iran getting a nuclear weapon….and is speaking to Americans via Congress..

– a/ Democrats are going to be a ‘no show’ to insult him and have already made that known….and

-b/ the VP, as President of the Senate says he is not showing up…and

-c/ President Obama won’t find 5 minutes to meet with the Prime Minister when he is here in DC.

Does she think THAT might be destructive to the relationship?

The is all because the White House is upset because Speaker Boehner did not tell them first before inviting PM Netanyahu. Do you know how insane that is to be upset about ‘manners’ and ‘protocol’ when the topic is NUCLEAR WEAPONS?

What kool aid is Susan Rice drinking?

Call me an #AngryClinger

mo-1

You can call me an angry white man, clinging to my guns and religion.  I actually like this description.  It fits.  I’m an #AngryClinger.

I’m angry that death cult terrorists continue to kill and maim in the name of their religion and in the name of their god.

I’m mad that some Western theologists want to equate the god of the cultists with The LORD God Almighty.  It offends me.

By now, you’ve read about the latest mass murder in the name of the prophet of the death cult.  As more is learned, we will hear the same Western apologists making the same ridiculous statements that these murders have nothing to do with islam; that the murdered shouldn’t have offended the murderers; that a backlash against innocent moslems will occur by #angryclingers (who are basically islamophobes anyway); that conservative Christians are just as evil because they oppose special rights for homosexuals; and of course, that Israel is somehow to blame.

I have the solution to death cult terrorism, and it is very simple.  That doesn’t mean that it is in any way easy.  I’ll detail the solution in a future post, and when you read it, you’ll be amazed that no one thought of it before.  But, that’s for later.

Today’s exercise in evil by the death cult is only the most recent event that has made me angry.  I’m mad about several things:

  1. I’m mad that John Boehner is still Speaker of the House, and Congress is still for sale:  Business As Usual.
  2. I’m mad that some of the same people who said they would vote to replace Boehner, betrayed their supporters.
  3. I’m mad that Al Sharpton still owes an unpaid tax debt of over 4 million dollars, and the IRS has not moved to seize his assets or levy his income.
  4. I’m mad that nothing has been done about the politicization of the IRS, the EPA, the DOJ, BLM, ATF, VA, and others that have betrayed the public trust, committed acts of deception, perjury, obfuscation, concealment, political blackmail, to name a few, all with the knowledge and approval of the motherfucker in the White House.
  5. I’m mad that the 4th Estate has devolved into a 5th Column.
  6. I’m mad that the ones who see these things happening and want to hold the line against them are demonized and marginalized by this very same 5th Column.
  7. I’m mad that our government is over $18 Trillion in debt, with no end in sight, and the only way we are still managing to keep the lights on is because the Federal Reserve continues to monetize the debt through Quantitative Easing I, II, III, and soon, QE-IV.
  8. I’m mad that the above alphabet agencies continue to ignore lawful Constitutional oversight by the Congress, which of course is ignored by the 5th Column, and I’m mad that the Congress hasn’t raised hell about it.
  9. I’m mad that the racial divisions in our country have been stirred to the boiling point by professional agitators, race mongers, communists, and moslems, who have resorted to arson, assault, and assassination of police officers to achieve their goal of “fundamentally changing” our country.
  10. I’m mad that the 2 frontrunners for the 2016 Presidential election are named Bush and Clinton.

So, I’m an #AngryClinger, and I’m up to here. Tonight, I will say this prayer for serenity.

God, grant me the Serenity

To accept the things I cannot change,

The courage to change the things I can,

And the wisdom to know the difference.

Israeli-Skunk-Spray

Taking  page from the 1960’s DuPont advertising campaign, Israel’s successful deployment of a new crowd control measure is winning praise for its effectiveness, as well as for its envirnmental friendliness.

It’s called ‘Skunk Spray.”

The “aromatic” spray is shot from a water cannon, soaking the target in gut wrenching, putrid smell. But, believe it or not, as smelly as it is, the Skunk is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and so harmless you can drink it without fear of harm. Except, according to reporters who caught a whiff of it, it kind of immediately makes you wretch. {snip}                                                                                                                                                                                                                           The opposition is fuming: B’Tselem put out its own video showing Israel’s armored tanker trucks fitted with water cannons which spray the foul fluid at Palestinian protesters.

You can’t please some folks: the IDF units switched from live to rubber bullets – and they complained. Now that there are no bullets at all being used – they’re still complaining.

Remembering St. Pancake: 10 years later

Rachel Corrie, the fun-loving idealist, the peace-making protector of innocent Arab children, the face of human shields everywhere,  the rich, white, suburban girl who became the matron saint of wannabe Code-Pink martyrs, the Peace Activist™ whose actions still beg the question, “Is it bravery or stupidity to stand in-between a kill-dozer and its intended target?”, Rachel Corrie was flattened 10 years ago today.

St. PancakeYes, that Rachel Corrie.

It has been ten years, and the myth of St. Pancake still lives, strung along by the international left, still intent on the death of the state of Israel, and as many Jews as it takes.

So, Happy St. Pancake Day! Have a stack of Aunt Jemimahs and walk out on the tab.

Palestine Is A Myth…Even Newt Acknowleges It

There seems to be some consternation by some, mostly Muslims and the LSM, over Newt Gingrich’s comment about Palestinians being “an invented people.”

Of course it is the truth, there has never been a Palestinian state, only a Palestinian Mandate that was intended as the Jewish homeland.

The Middle East war is not now and never was a conflict between Israelis/Jews on the one hand and Palestinians on the other. In fact, the Arab-“Palestinians”, while currently the perpetrators of most of the anti-Jewish atrocities, were never a very important part of the conflict. In fact, before about 1970, virtually no one in the world considered the Middle East conflict to be one between Israelis and Palestinians.

The term “Palestinian” itself had referred to Israeli Jews back in the 1940s, and had been slowly deconstructed and redefined to refer to the Arabs in the West Bank and Gaza. The Middle East Conflict was always a war by Arabs against Jews, not a conflict between Israelis and “Palestinians.” The war was repackaged as a conflict between Jews and Palestinians as a public relations gimmick by the Arab fascist regimes. These regimes had never had any interest in “Palestinians,” in creating a “Palestinian” state, or in “Palestinian nationalism” before 1967. That is because Palestinian nationalism did not and DOES NOT exist. The Palestinians were a regional group of Arabs having virtually no cultural nor national distinctive traits separating them from Syrians, Lebanese, and Jordanians. They are all basically Arabs!.

The bulk of what are called “Palestinian Arabs” are members of families who migrated into the Land of Israel beginning in the late 19th century. Palestinian nationalism is a mislabeling of Arab nationalism. Arab nationalism exists, although it is closely bound up with Islamic nationalism and even Islamism. Palestinian nationalism, however, is a phantom. It is nothing more than genocidal hatred of Jews!

The Arab assaults and aggressions against Israel in 1948, 1956, 1967, 1968, and 1973 had nothing to do with Palestinians. The Palestinian terror campaign would itself be easy to suppress today and eradicate if the Middle East conflict were really a Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Israel would simply obliterate the terrorists and expel their supporters to Syria and Lebanon. The Middle East war continues because it is really an Arab-Israeli war, not an Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It is also in large part a war between barbarism and civilization. In many ways an Islamic religious jihad against the Jews.

Even though I don’t support Newt for a multitude of reasons, I do offer him praise for stating the truth of the matter in the face of so many lies about the Trans-Jordanian’s claims that they are “Palestinians.” More candidates need to either learn the truth or speak it when the issue is about Arab-Nationalism and Israel.

Uncle Sam, Get Off My Back

A guest post, by Moshe Sheskin

A cartoon appeared some time ago in the International Herald Tribune showing George Bush lying on a couch at his psychiatrist’s office with his back to the good doctor. The psychiatrist is hurling darts at a Bush dartboard, and Bush saying, “You know doctor, sometimes I have the feeling that nobody in the world likes us”.

Instead of George Bush we now have Barack Obama, on the same couch and that’s where the similarity ends. . Today, with Barack Obama as President, whose popularity is on the same level as that of Jack the Ripper America is still ‘unloved’, the victim of it’s own arrogance, it’s ‘better than thou’ attitude and the mistaken idea that the whole world is their playground and every other nation on earth is a ‘Banana Republic’. It is no wonder that when traveling overseas from Canada, one is advised to pin a Canadian flag on one’s clothing so as to indicate that you are a Canadian and not an American.

To be fair with Obama, he isn’t responsible for the American superiority complex, it has plagued past administrations but never has American esteem sunk as low as when Obama bowed before the Saudi king, tried to appease the Muslim world with his grandiose Cairo visit which caused more distrust, alienated Europeans and generally showed that he wasn’t capable of placing the United States of America in the forefront of world affairs.

Israel has absorbed the brunt of Obama’s anger by not succumbing to American demands that would virtually dismember Israel. Israel, the only democratic nation in the Middle East and one of America’s staunchest allies has had to bear the insults of an inept administration. One can ask why has American policy changed so drastically toward Israel with Obama’s ascension to the Presidency? Why has he chosen advisors with known communist and leftist affiliations to advise him on matters crucial, not only to Israel but to United States generally. So here is what Obama has said in referring to Israel.

Speaking to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, he would not allow Iran to acquire nuclear arms, and that Jerusalem would remain the undivided capital of Israel.

“Let me be clear, Israel’s security is sacrosanct. It is non-negotiable. The Palestinians need a state that is contiguous and cohesive and that allows them to prosper. But any agreement with the Palestinian people must preserve Israel’s identity as a Jewish state, with secure, recognized and defensible borders. Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided.”

It is well known that the American efforts to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear arms have been a dismal failure. But whether Israel lives or dies does not only depend on Iran but on the support of the United States, which has been backsliding from the beginning of Obama’s administration.

The announcement of 1600 homes to be erected in East Jerusalem is a decoy. The outcry by Vice-President Biden and Foreign Secretary Clinton is shameful and uncalled for. It once more proves to the world that what Obama says and what he does has no relevance.

There is no such animal as ‘land for peace’, not even ‘peace for peace’, as far as the Palestinians are concerned. There strings are being pulled by the Saudis and Iran. The Saudis in turn have a very good friend in the White House whose chain they can yank at will.

Israel has a problem with the Palestinians, one that may or may not be able to be worked out between them. Palestinian demands have been one sided and Israel concessions haven’t moved them one iota.

No matter what happens, it’s time for Israel to assert its independence and Obama to get off Israel’s back and let history take its course.

Obama Administration violates terrorism act

Human Rights Watch Loves to Hate Israel

from WSJ:

A delegation from Human Rights Watch was recently in Saudi Arabia. To investigate the mistreatment of women under Saudi Law? To campaign for the rights of homosexuals, subject to the death penalty in Saudi Arabia? To protest the lack of religious freedom in the Saudi Kingdom? To issue a report on Saudi political prisoners?

No, no, no, and no. The delegation arrived to raise money from wealthy Saudis by highlighting HRW’s demonization of Israel.

Casting their nets for petro-dollars in the Saudi Kingdom, by invoking anti-Semitic stereotypes is a new low, even for Human Rights Watch. Naturally, by telling the Saudis that money is needed to fight the International Jewish Conspiracy, HRW is guaranteed a healthy haul to replenish their coffers to pay for their on-going toxic hate-fest against the Jewish state.

What a piece of work.

To Sarah Leah Whitson and the crew of Human Rights Watch, “I fart in your general direction, you empty headed, animal food trough wiper. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.”

Obama prepares to throw Israel under the bus

Just one day after the speaker of the Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani said world powers must accept the Islamic republic as a nuclear power , the Obama administration released a new intelligence assessment on the Iranian nuclear program:

It “concludes that Iran halted its nuclear weapons program in 2003 and that the program remains frozen, contradicting a judgment two years ago that Tehran was working relentlessly toward building a nuclear bomb.” source

War in Gaza

Israel has had enough.

The IDF has attacked Hamas installations in Gaza in a well-executed series of air strikes. Over 200 deaths are reported. Carl in Jerusalem has more:

The IDF began its long-awaited attack on Hamas-controlled Gaza at 11:30 AM Saturday, and according to initial reports managed to catch Hamas off-guard, after deliberately sending soldiers home on furloughs Thursday to create the impression that a military strike was not imminent.

The operation is codenamed “Cast Lead” – a phrase taken from a well known Chanukah song which refers to “cast-lead draydels.”

At least 80 IAF aircraft, including both jets and helicopters, struck pre-selected targets in Gaza, reportedly dropping at least 100 tons of ordinance. According to Arab sources in Gaza, the death toll there is 200. By 7:00 PM, one report said it had reached 205.

As Carl notes, one sure sign of Israeli success is the call from the EU for “restraint.” French President Sarkozy dusts off the old saw of “disproportionate use of force,” but I doubt that even the French would stand by and allow their towns to be targeted by years of rocket and mortar fire under the guise of a truce.

Good grief, it’s Friday already?

Since deciding to cut back on blogging activity a couple of weeks ago, my time away from the blogosphere has become more productive. Big surprise, huh.

We put the house on the market, found a small place with some land a few miles out of town that we should be able to pay cash for, and made some plans to accomplish two of the “ity” goals that we set for ourselves at the beginning of 2007: “liquidity”, and “defensibility”. The third “ity” goal” “mobility” has been largely accomplished, with the fourth, “sustainability” still in the planning stages. All in all, it’s been a busy two weeks, with more to come.

Mrs. Nuke told me the other day that she wants a new personal protection device. I’m leaning towards recommending a 38 snubbie, simplicity, reliabilty, and all that … (I kind of like those “ity” words). Suggestions and recommendations please …

Israel says Syria nuke base was target of raid

Another story involving Korea ……
From Telegraph UK

Israel has admitted for the first time that an air strike in Syria last year was aimed at a nuclear facility built with assistance from North Korea.

The Japanese daily newspaper Asahi Shimbun cited sources at the Japanese foreign ministry for its report of a meeting between Ehud Olmert, the prime minister of Israel, and Yasuo Fukuda, his Japanese opposite number.

Mr Olmert is reported to have admitted that Israel carried out the bombing last September and that the target was a nuclear-related facility built using technical assistance from Pyongyang.

Surprise.

Not.

Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid.

P.A. urges palestinian Arabs to “return” (h/t Free Republic)

The Palestinian Authority is planning to mark Israel’s 60th anniversary by calling on all Palestinians living abroad to converge on Israel by land, sea and air. The plan, drawn by Ziad Abu Ein, a senior Fatah operative and Deputy Minister for Prisoners’ Affairs in the Palestinian Authority, states that the Palestinians have decided to implement United Nations Resolution 194 regarding the refugees.

Article 11 of the resolution, which was passed in December 1948, says that “refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbors should be permitted to do so at the earliest practicable date, and that compensation should be paid for the property of those choosing not to return and for loss of or damage to property which, under principles of international law or in equity, should be made good by the Governments or authorities responsible.”

And, this little ditty from the Rev…”Israel is a Dirty Word” (h/t Ace)

We must defeat islamofascism

satellite.jpgI have had the pleasure of visiting Israel, our staunch ally, our great friend and the most exemplary democracy in the Middle East, a total of nine times. On one of those trips, I took my then 11-year-old daughter, Sarah, to Yad Vashem. As we faced the grimly surreal pictures from Dachau and Auschwitz, she confronted the horrors of the thousands of bodies stacked on top of one another like so much lumber – six million dead. At the end of our visit, Sarah went to the guest book and wrote simple words that I will never forget: “Why didn’t somebody do something?”

That is all she wrote, but with those words, I knew that, in her own way, she “got it.”

Unfortunately, some in America, even some running for president, don’t get it. Those who don’t understand that the war in Iraq is a critical part of the war on terror, don’t get it. Those who pledge to withdraw our troops according to some politically-motivated rationale before this war is won, don’t get it. Iraq must be stable and secure within its borders. It is not just Iraq’s security that is at stake, but the security of the entire region and of the United States.

But among those who seem to want to leave as soon as possible, regardless of the strategic and humanitarian consequences, is Sen. Barack Obama, one of the two remaining Democratic candidates for the presidency.

I have another grave concern about Sen. Obama, which was well-expressed by Matt Brooks, Executive Director of the Republican Jewish Coalition:

“We are deeply troubled by Senator Obama’s desire to ‘hold a summit in the Muslim world, with all heads of state’ many of whom have yet to renounce terrorism or refrain from anti-Semitic incitement. …Senator Obama said he wanted to listen to the ‘concerns’ of these nations. For many, their biggest concern is Israel’s existence. It’s worrisome that Senator Obama wants to ‘listen’ to those calling for Israel’s destruction.”

AMERICA MUST be effective in the Middle East, and we must of course listen – and learn, and safeguard. But most of all, we need to be resolute in our strength, military and moral. Specifically, we must not pay any sort of tribute to terrorist states – including the honor of “listening” in some formal setting, where every splenetic utterance will be aired worldwide. For example, what would the president do in the face of some outrageously anti-American or anti-Semitic statement: Just sit there? Get up and walk out?

We shouldn’t engage in impromptu diplomacy based on a misplaced sense of “empathy.” That’s why I am concerned about Sen. Obama’s suggestion.

I don’t want to hear the “concerns” of terrorist states – but I do want them to hear me.

I want everyone in the Middle East to know that America is committed to its strategic interests in the region, including a safe and secure Israel. Does Senator Obama really want to meet with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran, for example? Sen. Obama has said he wants to, both as part of his summit, and privately. Hard to believe, but true, according to his interviews with Paris Match (January 31, 2008) and the International Herald Tribune (November 1, 2007). Iran and its partner Syria bring danger and death to Americans and Israelis on a daily basis though their support of terrorists – in Gaza, Lebanon, and of course, in Iraq.

If the annihilation of six million Jews taught us anything, it is that appeasement doesn’t work; it just results in the deaths of innocents and makes the job of eradicating evil all the more difficult.

So I share Israel’s concern about an aggressive unchecked Iran. And I share Israel’s determination that Iran will not become a nuclear power. As president, I will not take the military option off the table. I will work to strengthen sanctions against Iran both through the United Nations and the European Union.

No one seeking the presidency in either party is more steadfastly committed to Israel’s security, survival as a Jewish state, and ability to defend herself than I am. As president, I will ensure that Israel always has the state-of-the-art weaponry and technology she needs. And in addition, I will dramatically increase American defense spending. Before there can be true peace, there must be the basic recognition of Israel’s right to exist and an end to anti-Semitic and anti-Israel lies and propaganda.

Together, we must prevent nuclear proliferation and defeat Islamofascism. Together, we must be the people who confront and overcome evil. We must be the people who take action now, so that future generations of Sarahs don’t look back and ask “Why didn’t somebody do something?”

A Few Words From Newt, On Our Own Phoney War!

I am always impressed with his brilliant mind.

Let’s give them two states

Two years after Israel’s exit, Gaza has devolved into a murderous hell hole. Arafish’s handpicked successor, the so-called “moderate” Abbas has seen to it that the Roadmap to statehood will never happen.

hamashoe.jpgIt’s hard to point to a single incident that set off the violence. Fatah members took to the streets immediately following Hamas’ election victory. Sporadic bloodshed followed. In the old school Arab world that is the Gaza Strip, a drop of blood requires a pint of blood as revenge, particularly if the blood is spilled in your family. The situation degraded like the Hatfields and the McCoys. Family avenged family and clan avenged clan. Fighters lost sight of the greater Palestinian interest and they paid no respect to the dozens of cease fires brokered and scrapped. Both Hamas and Fatah were determined to prove that they are the dominant force on the chaotic street.

The fighting became as savage as anything we’ve ever seen in the Gaza Strip. A Fatah Presidential Guard member was kidnapped, hauled to the top of a 15-story building, shot in the leg, then thrown to his death. Fatah responded by throwing a Hamas gunman off a building. A relative of a Hamas leader had his hands and legs bound and was shot at point blank range in the head. Bullets ricochet off the streets; at night, civilians hid in their homes and gunmen died in droves. Each of the dead left behind a family of survivors, hell bent on revenge. With all the madness, hatred and bloodshed, only one ingredient was missing to qualify this feud as a war: a goal. No one was trying to secede from a government, take one over or grab a piece of real estate.

That changed on Tuesday as Hamas gunman began systematically overtaking the positions of the Fatah security forces. As I write this, Hamas has taken over the Northern one third of the Gaza Strip. They are pounding the three security force headquarters in Gaza with mortars stating that their goal is to take them over. They are also attacking the headquarters of President Abbas. If they take them, they’ll dominate the Gaza Strip. That’s a clear objective which moves this conflict up a notch and qualifies it as a civil war.

To beard or not to beard

Times are hard in Gaza.

At one time, Hamas members who wore a beard ran the risk of being easily identified and arrested by the IDF. But, Israel pulled out of Gaza, and the Palestinian arabs proceeded to turn it into a Hell hole in just over a year.

So now, instead of arrest, they face being easily identified and assassinated by beardless Fatah.

And, if they don’t wear a beard, they run the risk of being mis-identified and shot by their fellow Hamas-ers. Dang. Cry me a river.

PA Speaker calls for annihilation of all Jews and Americans

This speech, or sermon, or rant from hell, or whatever you want to call it needs to be bookmarked and shown to any fool who tells you that islam is a religion of peace.

(IsraelNN.com) In a televised address to a packed mosque, the Acting Speaker of the Palestinian Authority’s Legislative Council called for the killing of every last Jew and American. His speech and murderous prayer were delivered in an unidentified packed mosque and broadcast on an official PA-controlled television station.

According to a recording and transcript of the April 20th broadcast, translated and provided by Palestinian Media Watch, PLC Acting Speaker Ahmed Bahr called the Jews “the cancerous lump… in the heart of the Arab nation.” He predicted that “America is on its way to disappear. America is wallowing [in blood] today in Iraq and Afghanistan. America is defeated and Israel is defeated, and was defeated, in Lebanon and Palestine.”
Adopting the open-palmed gesture of Islamic prayer, as did his audience, the PA official intoned: “Allah, take hold of the Jews and their allies, Allah, take hold of the Americans and their allies…. Allah, count them and kill them to the last one and don’t leave even one.”

According to the translated transcript and video of the Sudan speech, provided by the Middle East Media Research Institute, Bahr called Muslims “the masters of the world” and predicted, as he did in the PA mosque the following week, that “America and Israel will be annihilated, Allah willing.” Jews and Americans, the PA official declared, citing “the Book of Allah,” are “cowards, who are eager for life, while we are eager for death for the sake of Allah.”

It would also be a good idea for every democrat to see this video. Perhaps they might notice that the paleo rhetoric borrows much from the hard left demos.

Soros essay: More of the same

George Soros is the man behind the money which drives the far left, extremist rhetoric of the “progressive” wing of the Democrat party. It’s not correct to say that his money drives the extremist policies of the far left, simply because, they have no policies. The modern Democrat party has morphed from a party of political governance to a party of political and social “causes” propelled by poisonous rhetoric.

“The pro-Israel lobby has been remarkably successful in suppressing criticism,” wrote Soros. Politicians challenge it at their peril and dissenters risk personal vilification, he said.

Soros’ essay in the New York Review of Books is not only pointed in its criticism of the Bush Administration, it laments the fact that Israel and the US are attempting to seek a peace agreement with the Palestinian President without the inclusion of Hamas — regardless of the fact that Hamas has yet to even acknowledge the right of Israel to exist.

The criticism echoes the controversial work of Walt and Mearsheimer, “The Israel Lobby”, a thinly veiled anti-Israel diatribe masquerading as a scholarly work. It has, of course, been thoroughly fisked. My favorite of all the debunkings was published at The American Thinker. Here is an excerpt:

soros.jpgIt is a work without a trace of balance, in essence no more than an angry polemic disguised as academic research. ‘The Israel Lobby’ is a long, bitter, op—ed piece given a patina of respectability because of where the authors are employed. They may feel themselves protected from criticism by tenure and their titles. They live and work in the proverbial ivory towers of an academic environment that has become an Arab—subsidized lobby against Israel. {snip}

Israel is held to a standard of perfection (which of course it fails) in ‘Walt’s World’ while thuggish terror—supporting states such as Iran and Syria are presented as potential important allies of America, and are insulated from any criticism by the professors. Israel is demonized by the authors; the surrounding dictatorships, who have sent terrorists to our shores and who are killing our soldiers now, are sanctified.

The professors’ attempt to promote the good deeds of Syria in the war on terror is particularly laughable. Syria has opened its border to virtually every jihadist willing to kill Americans in Iraq. It has attempted to undermine every serious peace process between Israel and the Palestinians, or between Israel and its other neighbors since Israel’s founding. Syria occupied Lebanon for over 15 years, has treated terrorist groups as proxies for Syria, has been implicated in the assassination of the leader of Lebanon, and has openly served as a conduit for over 10,000 missiles delivered to Hezbollah terrorists in Southern Lebanon — who seemingly run their own Islamic terror state within a state.

The professors also cavalierly argue that an Iranian nuclear capability is no threat to America. These ‘experts’ seem to be unaware that Iran has consistently been ranked as the number one terror state in the world by our State Department (a charge they would probably discount since in their delusional world, the Jews control even the famously anti—Israel State Department). But Shiite Iran, with missiles purchased from North Korea, can reach many of the Sunni Arab states that the authors argue are America’s real allies in the region, and also Europe.

I don’t know if the Republican Party has the courage to stand up against the onslaught of disingenuity coming from the Soros machine. In this war of ideas, the threat of the balkanization of the Republic has never been greater.

Gingrich the father of Anna Nicole’s Baby? — Fox News Alert

Update #4: “I told you so!”

NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) – Larry Birkhead is the father of Anna Nicole Smith’s baby, according to DNA tests, and the late reality TV star’s former boyfriend emerged from a court hearing Tuesday to proclaim that his daughter would soon be home.

Update #3: “The nude photospread at the link on the first Update will prove without a doubt the fact that I am speaking truth to power.” Blogger Nuke Gingrich’s latest comments come amid charges that his “denial” of being Anna Nicole’s Baby-daddy is in fact a cynical attempt to drive up traffic at his award-winning website. “That’s just ridiculous. There is no evidence to support those charges. I cannot imagine anyone using poor Anna Nicole like that. This photospread is proof positive that I am not the father of Danielynn. Do you see me in any of those photos? I rest my case”

Update #2: “Just give me what I want, and I’ll go away.” Right Wing Blogger Nuke Gingrich has reportedly changed his mind….”I want the house in the Bahamas.”

Update: Planck’s constant has a flicker photospread of anna nicole (sans clothing) in his sidebar. [Welcome WordPress Blog of the day — thank you readers. ]

Conservative blogger Nuke Gingrich came forward today and announced that he is not the father of Anna Nicole’s baby, Danielynn Hope.

“There is absolutely no truth to the rumor”, Nuke said, “And I have no idea how the rumor started. As a matter of fact, I didn’t even know it was a rumor.”

annanic.jpgAs the looming custody battle heated up, “ Smith’s mother flew to the Bahamas on Saturday to check on the child, but the big question — the identity of the baby’s father — will be decided in a courtroom.” Source

384433538_64963497cc1.jpgNukegingrich, known for his insightful news and comment, and his dry sense of humor, wondered aloud how such a rumor could get started. “Well, after n2l got two straight Top 50 Blog of the day posts, I guess I uhmm, somebody figured they had better do something to attract the search engine bots, this being such a hot story and the cable news networks are all Nicole all the time.”

Proportional Response

It’s taken quite a while, but the answer to last summer’s question on ‘how to wage politically correct warfare’ is emerging from Gaza.

Last June, as Palestinian Arabs abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, critics deplored Israel’s military response. And, as Hizballah rockets rained down on northern Israeli towns, much of the criticism of the Big Media was directed, interestingly enough, at Israel’s response.

Why? Well, according to the hand-wringers, the Israeli response was “disporportionate,” whatever the heck that means. So, what exactly is a “proportionate reponse?”

Hamas has sent Israel a list of Palestinian prisoners it wants released in return for the freedom of the Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, who has been held since last June, officials said yesterday. The Israeli government has insisted that Corporal Shalit’s release is a prerequisite to progress in Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.

The Palestinian list is believed to include Marwan Barghouti, a Fatah leader who was jailed by Israel for his role in the murder of four Israelis and a Greek monk – and around 500 other prisoners.

Five hundred to one. Now that the Palestinian Arabs, themselves, have provided the answer, perhaps the press will be willing to abide by the decision in the future.

“Why I hate Israel”, by the UN Human Rights Council

… including, of course, America, and Canada, and anyone else who points out the UN’s hypocrisy and failure.

What is considered “admissible” or “inadmissible” at the UN Human Rights council? UN Watch does its usual fine work in exposing them for what they truly are, by using their own words, in the following youtube clip:

And, I’m quite sure that after this viewing this clip, the UN Human Rights Council hates UN Watch, and The NY Sun as well…… (not bad company to be in, jmho)….. from The Sun’s editorial….

It shows actual film clips of the president of the Human Rights Council, Luis Alfonso de Alba of Mexico, thanking various diplomats for their testimony. He thanks a speaker for Zimbabwe talking about the ignorance of a delegate who has criticized human rights under President Mugabe. He thanks the delegate from Cuba for insulting a human rights expert who exposed abuses of the communist regime. When the permanent observer of Palestine asserts that the one that has a “monopoly on human rights violations” is Israel, which, he adds, is the darling of not only the ambassadors of America and Canada but also of the human rights commissioner, Louise Arbour, the observer is thanked by Mr. de Alba. On the clip one can see Mr. de Alba thanking the delegation of Sudan for a statement saying that reports of violence against women in Darfur have been “exaggerated.”

Then one can watch and hear an envoy from Nigeria assert that “stoning under Sharia law for unnatural sexual acts … should not be equated with extrajudicial killings …” Or watch an envoy of Iran defend the Holocaust denial conference. Or watch a defense of the Hezbollah terrorist organization. Or speaker after speaker liken Israel to the Nazis, only to get thanked by Mr. de Alba or whoever is presiding. Then one can watch Mr. de Alba lean back demonstrably in his chair and fold his arms across his chest and adopt a disapproving visage as Mr. Neuer of UN Watch begins his recent testimony. He notes that 60 years ago, Eleanor Roosevelt, René Cassin, and others gathered on the banks of Lake Geneva to reaffirm the principle of human dignity and created the Commission on Human Rights. He asks what has become of “this noble dream” and offers a devastating answer with a reprise of all the human rights abuses on which the council has been silent.

“Why has this council chosen silence?” Mr. Neuer asks. “Because Israel could not be blamed.” He ticks off the actions against Israel, the only ones the council takes. When Mr. Neuer is done, Mr. de Alba says, “for the first time in this session, I will not express thanks for that statement. … I will not tolerate any similar statements in the council.” And he threatens to strike any similar statements from UN Watch from the record of the proceedings.

Iranian defector began spying in 2003

An Iranian general who defected to the West last month had been spying on Iran since 2003 when he was recruited on an overseas business trip, the online edition of The Sunday Times quoted Iranian sources as saying.

This weekend Brigadier General Ali Reza Asgari, 63, the former deputy defense minister, is understood to be undergoing debriefing at a Nato base in Germany after he escaped from Iran, followed by his family, the UK-based newspaper said.

It is unclear which intelligence organization he was spying for, the report said. “He probably was working for Mossad but believed he was working for a European intelligence agency,” an Israeli defense official was quoted by the Times as saying.

According to the Times, a daring getaway via Damascus was organized by western intelligence agencies after it became clear that his cover was about to be blown. Iran’s notorious secret service, the Vavak, is believed to have suspected that he was a high-level mole, the report said.

The Iranian sources told the Times that the escape took several months to arrange. At least 10 close members of his family had to flee the country, they added. The Times said Asgari has two sons, a daughter and several grandchildren and it is believed that all, including his daughters-in-law, are now out of Iran. Their final destination is unknown.

Asgari is said to have carried with him documents disclosing Iran’s links to Hizbullah, Islamic Jihad and other terror groups based in the Middle East.

Hamas official freed by Israel

Saleh al-Aruri, Hamas kingpin, was released Sunday from an Israeli prison after serving a ten-year sentence, plus five additional years after being convicted of anti-Israeli attacks. The release comes concurrently with the Olmert-Abbas talks in Jerusalem, but Israeli officials had no immediate comment.

Olmert said earlier that Abbas had assured him a new Palestinian government will not be formed before the release of a soldier captured by Gaza militants last year.

“The head of the Palestinian Authority has committed himself that any Palestinian government will be formed only after the release of the soldier Gilad Shalit and I expect it to be that way,” he said at the weekly cabinet meeting.

Hamas and Abbas’s moderate Fatah faction are expected within days to announce a government of national unity after a power-sharing agreement signed in Saudi Arabia on February 8

This is the second Olmert-Abbas meeting in less than a month.
