Bryan Adams, principled exploitation

You may have heard that the Governor of Mississippi recently signed into law a bill which would prevent gay activists from bringing legal action against clergymen, bakers, and florists who decline to participate in homosexual weddings for deeply held religious reasons.

This kind of thinking is considered backwards and illegally discriminatory by those on the progressive left who believe that lifestyle, gender, and matrimony are matters of preference.  It really shouldn’t be much of a surprise that more consertative parts of the country would object, and would try to push back against the tide.  But to hear the Left tell it, it is morally wrong, and should be punishable by law to not allow their march to a society in which no one’s actions should be judged against the Standards which have held for centuries to continue unabated.

bryan adamsEnter singer Bryan Adams.  Jeff Clark has an interesting piece in the Sun Herald regarding the performer’s decision to cancel his gig in Biloxi due to the recent passing of this bill.  Supposedly, Mr. Bryan Adams was deeply offended by the bill, much like Mr. Bruce Springsteen with his recent decision regarding North Carolina’s “Bathroom Bill.”

In full disclosure, the show was not selling very well…

It was reported in March that about 1,000 tickets had been sold and about 3,000 tickets needed to be sold to break even.

It’s interesting that he would cancel a show in Biloxi because of HB 1523, yet he’s played concerts in India where it is illegal to be gay.

So, Mr. Bryan Adams, was your decision to cancel your show in Mississippi based on having your sense of justice be so deeply offended, or is this maybe a bit of opportunistic career preening, or is it just plain old poor ticket sales?

A Parody For The “Delicate Snowflake” College Fascist

I offer this video without commentary, except for “job well done.”

I am Sparticus

Not since reading An Army of Davids have I been inspired to believe that there is still a chance for right and reason to prevail in the USA.  Not since yesterday when I ordered the Kindle edition of Vox Day’s SJWs Always Lie: Taking Down The Thought Police.

SJW_200Seven years of being fundamentally transformed will do that to you.

And before that, eight years of the Bush administration refusing to defend itself against the relentless attack from the Left.  I mean, who can forget watching Alberto Gonzales getting bludgeoned in oversight hearings, or the daily press briefing with Scott McClellan.  They left it up to Right bloggers to engage in the hand to hand combat with the lefties of the MSM and internet as well.

It was hard, thankless work.  Still is, in fact.  Especially when your own party is too afraid of being called “racist, sexist, homophobe, islamophobe” to even put up a modicum of resistance.  And then, when we mount successful stands through the loose confederation of Tea Party alliances, we are undermined by our own supposed allies.  And they wonder why we won’t roll over on the Speaker election!

Who would have thought that the model for victory would be found in the Sci-Fi world, and in their close alliances with video gamers?

“Not I,” said the duck.

My heartfelt advice to you, loyal readers, is to spend 5 bucks and read this book. I finished it this morning, and I’m still in a giddy daze.

I am Sparticus.  I am the Leader of #GamerGate.

Greg Johnson has a compete review here.

NTTIAWWI–Actually, TIAWWI

So the black robed tyrants have once again proven that they have a different copy of the U.S. Constitution than the rest of us and that we still must view them as the final arbiter on the law.

Not only have you never heard me mutter nttiawwi(not that there is anything wrong with it), you never will and I am far from alone on this.

The AG of Texas, Ken Paxton, issued a statement concerning the latest miscarriage of justice by the SCOTUS. A link to his full opinion can be found HERE in pdf form.
His summary is as follows:

County clerks and their employees retain religious freedoms that may provide accommodation of their religious objections to issuing same-sex marriage licenses. Justices of the peace and judges also may claim that the government forcing them to conduct same-sex wedding ceremonies over their religious objections, particularly when other authorized individuals have no objection to conducting such ceremonies, is not the least restrictive means of furthering any compelling governmental interest in ensuring that such ceremonies occur. Importantly, the strength of any particular religious accommodation claim depends on the particular facts of each case.

AG Paxton also stated that the various officials that refuse to issue marriage licenses to homosexual couples may face legal issues and that his office will assist them, as well as “numerous lawyers” who stand ready to defend them pro bono. Certainly NWWT, IMHO.

In Alabama, Senate Bill 377 passed by a 22-3 vote and has now moved to the House. SB377 “would end state issued marriage licenses, while providing marriage contracts as an alternative.”

This is just the latest outrage perpetrated on this once great nation, the list is long. It is past time to fight the left, it’s time to Alinsky the left.

Sultan Knish has some excellent ideas on that subject which can be found HERE, along with this wonderful image.

rebel

It is also necessary to continue to repeat that homosexuals represent a tiny percentage of the population, according to the Center for Disease Control’s National Health Interview Survey(pdf HERE), 1.6% of the population. It isn’t possible for that small a group, even if all of them were activists, to cause such a stir. It requires the concerted efforts by the leftists in this country to rip and tear away the fabric of our society by toppling the foundation upon which is built.

I will fight this agenda in any way I can. I will continue to mock and shun those who practice or support the practitioners of deviant sex.

They have the God given rights we all have and nothing more.

BATFE To Ban Common AR-15 Ammo

I’m copying/pasting this entire piece from the NRA ILA:

Gun Control isn’t about guns.  It’s about control!

In a move clearly intended by the Obama Administration to suppress the acquisition, ownership and use of AR-15s and other .223 caliber general purpose rifles, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives unexpectedly announced today that it intends to ban commonplace M855 ball ammunition as “armor piercing ammunition.” The decision continues Obama’s use of his executive authority to impose gun control restrictions and bypass Congress.

It isn’t even the third week of February, and the BATFE has already taken three major executive actions on gun control. First, it was a major change to what activities constitute regulated “manufacturing” of firearms. Next, BATFE reversed a less than year old position on firing a shouldered “pistol.” Now, BATFE has released a “Framework for Determining Whether Certain Projectiles are ‘Primarily Intended for Sporting Purposes’ Within the Meaning of 18 U.S.C. 921(a)(17)(c)”, which would eliminate M855’s exemption to the armor piercing ammunition prohibition and make future exemptions nearly impossible.

gun-controlBy way of background, federal law imposed in 1986 prohibits the manufacture, importation, and sale by licensed manufacturers or importers, but not possession, of “a projectile or projectile core which may be used in a handgun and which is constructed entirely . . . from one or a combination of tungsten alloys, steel, iron, brass, bronze, beryllium copper, or depleted uranium.” Because there are handguns capable of firing M855, it “may be used in a handgun.” It does not, however, have a core made of the metals listed in the law; rather, it has a traditional lead core with a steel tip, and therefore should never have been considered “armor piercing.” Nonetheless, BATFE previously declared M855 to be “armor piercing ammunition,” but granted it an exemption as a projectile “primarily intended to be used for sporting purposes.”

Now, however, BATFE says that it will henceforth grant the “sporting purposes” exception to only two categories of projectiles:

Category I: .22 Caliber Projectiles

A .22 caliber projectile that otherwise would be classified as armor piercing ammunition under 18 U.S.C. 921(a)(17)(B) will be considered to be “primarily intended to be used for sporting purposes” under section 921(a)(17)(C) if the projectile weighs 40 grains or less AND is loaded into a rimfire cartridge.

Category II: All Other Caliber Projectiles

Except as provided in Category I (.22 caliber rimfire), projectiles that otherwise would be classified as armor piercing ammunition will be presumed to be “primarily intended to be used for sporting purposes” under section 921(a)(17)(C) if the projectile is loaded into a cartridge for which the only handgun that is readily available in the ordinary channels of commercial trade is a single shot handgun. ATF nevertheless retains the discretion to deny any application for a “sporting purposes” exemption if substantial evidence exists that the ammunition is not primarily intended for such purposes.

BATFE is accepting comments until March 16, 2015 on this indefensible attempt to disrupt ammunition for the most popular rifle in America. Check back early next week for a more in-depth analysis of this “framework” and details on how you can submit comments.

How to comment – from the BATFE

ATF will carefully consider all comments, as appropriate, received on or before March 16, 2015, and will give comments received after that date the same consideration if it is practical to do so, but assurance of consideration cannot be given except as to comments received on or before March 16, 2015. ATF will not acknowledge receipt of comments. Submit comments in any of three ways (but do not submit the same comments multiple times or by more than one method):

John Kerry: Epic Fail

John Kerry is a complete and utter failure as the Secretary of State. It isn’t even close. This is a man who makes Hillary Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State look competent. He is the perfect Secretary of State for Barack Obama, arguably the worst president in the history of the Republic.

kerry on a bike2A classic example is currently underway in the nuclear talks with the mullahs in Iran. Kerry’s wicked smart negotiating team is described as negotiating from a position of weakness, and routinely “plea” with Iran in their talks, and that Iran’s leading negotiator “frequently shouts” at U.S. officials. link

And now, according to a survey of professors at the top 25 foreign policy schools conducted by Foreign Policy Magazine, Kerry is the absolute worst Secretary of State in history. source

Is anyone really surprised?

This President Needs to Eat his Spinach

I had to read this statement a couple of times to try and make some sense of it:

President Barack Obama has a moral responsibility to push back on the nation’s journalism community when it is planning to publish anti-jihadi articles that might cause a jihadi attack against the nation’s defenses forces, the White House’s press secretary said Jan. 12.

It still makes little sense to me that Obama is willing to sacrifice the First Amendment in order to mollify the Islamics.

It also reminded me of a cartoon that I watched as a child.  Popeye the Sailor certainly wasn’t concerned about offending the Imperial Japanese Navy when he sang, “You’re A Sap, Sap, Sap Mr. Jap.”

Call me an #AngryClinger

mo-1

You can call me an angry white man, clinging to my guns and religion.  I actually like this description.  It fits.  I’m an #AngryClinger.

I’m angry that death cult terrorists continue to kill and maim in the name of their religion and in the name of their god.

I’m mad that some Western theologists want to equate the god of the cultists with The LORD God Almighty.  It offends me.

By now, you’ve read about the latest mass murder in the name of the prophet of the death cult.  As more is learned, we will hear the same Western apologists making the same ridiculous statements that these murders have nothing to do with islam; that the murdered shouldn’t have offended the murderers; that a backlash against innocent moslems will occur by #angryclingers (who are basically islamophobes anyway); that conservative Christians are just as evil because they oppose special rights for homosexuals; and of course, that Israel is somehow to blame.

I have the solution to death cult terrorism, and it is very simple.  That doesn’t mean that it is in any way easy.  I’ll detail the solution in a future post, and when you read it, you’ll be amazed that no one thought of it before.  But, that’s for later.

Today’s exercise in evil by the death cult is only the most recent event that has made me angry.  I’m mad about several things:

  1. I’m mad that John Boehner is still Speaker of the House, and Congress is still for sale:  Business As Usual.
  2. I’m mad that some of the same people who said they would vote to replace Boehner, betrayed their supporters.
  3. I’m mad that Al Sharpton still owes an unpaid tax debt of over 4 million dollars, and the IRS has not moved to seize his assets or levy his income.
  4. I’m mad that nothing has been done about the politicization of the IRS, the EPA, the DOJ, BLM, ATF, VA, and others that have betrayed the public trust, committed acts of deception, perjury, obfuscation, concealment, political blackmail, to name a few, all with the knowledge and approval of the motherfucker in the White House.
  5. I’m mad that the 4th Estate has devolved into a 5th Column.
  6. I’m mad that the ones who see these things happening and want to hold the line against them are demonized and marginalized by this very same 5th Column.
  7. I’m mad that our government is over $18 Trillion in debt, with no end in sight, and the only way we are still managing to keep the lights on is because the Federal Reserve continues to monetize the debt through Quantitative Easing I, II, III, and soon, QE-IV.
  8. I’m mad that the above alphabet agencies continue to ignore lawful Constitutional oversight by the Congress, which of course is ignored by the 5th Column, and I’m mad that the Congress hasn’t raised hell about it.
  9. I’m mad that the racial divisions in our country have been stirred to the boiling point by professional agitators, race mongers, communists, and moslems, who have resorted to arson, assault, and assassination of police officers to achieve their goal of “fundamentally changing” our country.
  10. I’m mad that the 2 frontrunners for the 2016 Presidential election are named Bush and Clinton.

So, I’m an #AngryClinger, and I’m up to here. Tonight, I will say this prayer for serenity.

God, grant me the Serenity

To accept the things I cannot change,

The courage to change the things I can,

And the wisdom to know the difference.

Election Day 2014: The Evil Party Evicted Nation Wide

I noticed the Texas elections got little attention in the national news last night, since it was never close for the highest profile races and the fact that no member of the Evil Party has won a state wide office in twenty two years. Clearly understandable, since there were many close races across the nation and many shocking victories for the GOP, especially if one considers how close the various polls showed some races were…even though they weren’t.

Now she knows what it’s like to be discarded.

In Texas current AG Greg Abbott, as expected, won the election for Governor by twenty points(59.3 to 38.9). Personally, I thought he would win by an even larger margin, but the Evil Party thought they really had a great candidate, one that was firmly in lock step with their agenda and a dear, dear friend of the eugnenist at Planned Parenthood. She and her sleazy act will not be missed and I sincerely wish she would just go away, now.

In another election that was even more obscure, but was a significant victory for us in Dallas County, the abyssmal and corrupt District Attorney was defeated. While I’m sure he is quite sad today, no other person or group is sadder than the Innocence Project over his defeat. We now have a real DA with prosecutorial experience.

For further weepy, excuse making coverage for these two victories from the Dallas Morning news, there is this piece on the Governor’s election and this one for the new District Attorney.

For national election news, I recommend RCP as the go to source.

As for the many victories of the Stupid Party over the Evil Party nationwide, I am still absorbing the context of election day. If nothing else it gives a modicum of hope for the next two years.

Wonders Never Cease! SCOTUS Upholds Texas Voter ID Law

vote

What a pleasant pre-college football Saturday this has turned out to be.

In an unsigned 6-3 decision, the SCOTUS has “ordered” that the voter ID law be allowed…for now.

For an extensive explanation of the order and the future standing of the ID law is HERE.

I have no idea how the ID law will fare in further court actions, as the federal judge(appointed by President Obola) is determined to prove the law is unconstitutional, which the SCOTUS did not address in this order.

In any event, it is a happy day knowing that for at least this federal election(early voting in Texas starts Monday the 20th) voters that make an appearance at polling stations will have to identify themselves. This gives legal voters more certainty and confidence that their vote actually means something.

At least for this election, the race-baiters and other libturds that would weaken the election process are pushed back.

Cronyism Kills

Remember 2009?

The Obama regime promised a miracle economic recovery if only Congress would pass their mammoth economic stimulus bill.  Shovel-ready jobs.  Green, renewable energy.  Smart Policies.  Yada, yada, yada.

ebola=nurseThis occurred to me as I saw some of the new Democrat ads blaming the GOP for Ebola.  “Cuts Kill,” or something.

Some $80 BILLION in the stimulus package was devoted to green energy, much of which was directed to campaign donors and other friends of the regime.

In short order, many of those same companies began to fail.  As Ashe Schow notes:

So far, 34 companies that were offered federal support from taxpayers are faltering — either having gone bankrupt or laying off workers or heading for bankruptcy.

If you’re keeping score:  almost $8 Billion of the 2009 Obama stimulus bill went to campaign friendly green energy companies which are either failing, or in bankruptcy.

That’s enough to fund the CDC entirely for 15 months.

Cut’s Kill, my ass.

Perry’s Indictment~Round 2

AUSTIN — The special prosecutor in the case against Gov. Rick Perry is asking for some help.
San Antonio lawyer Michael McCrum, who guided the case to last month’s indictment, filed a motion Friday asking a state court to fund a co-counsel.
Link

Sounds ominous, that the Governor’s legal team is actually fighting back with motions and the libturd’s hand picked lawyer is overwhelmed with answering…both of them.

As mentioned in another post, this was never about Gov. Perry violating the constitution, it was about violating the law of the libturds which states their officials can never and should never be held to any societal standards or laws that the “little people” should.
Or as John Ransom at Townhall stated in a column well worth the read:

Perry, it seems, committed the unpardonable sin of holding the DA responsible for drunkenness. How dare mere mortals hold the people responsible for prosecuting crimes to a standard that applies to the rest of us?

The main point to the libturds wanting the Perry indictment hasn’t changed, the conviction is meaningless only the indictment matters and the libturd media got the memo, every time Gov. Perry is mentioned by one of the LSM outlets it is always “the indicted Gov. Perry.”

To further illustrate how low the chances are of Gov. Perry being convicted are, it seems the aforementioned Michael McCrum is facing very serious contempt of court charges.

Prosecutors filed a contempt of court motion against San Antonio-based attorney Michael McCrum in January, after a separate case the previous fall. In it, one of McCrum’s clients was convicted of manslaughter for driving his car the wrong-way down an interstate with a blood-alcohol level three times the legal limit, and sparking a head-on crash that killed two men.
McCrum was accused of telling his client’s former addiction counselor to “get lost for a while” and not be available to testify at the trial’s punishment phase.

Yes, Gov. Perry has reason to smile, the smell of libturd fail has that effect on reasonable people.

Gov. Perry Shows How To “Mug” For The Camera

The radical left apparently doesn’t care about optics, as long as they can get an indictment on a GOP politician that poses any kind of threat to their electoral designs.

If they cared about optics, the last thing they would want is to remind of us the drunken fool Rosemary Lehmberg who was arrested for DUI in 2013 with a BAT of .239(.08 is the legal standard).

Like this charming photo:
lehmberg

Or this one:
null

I know right? Any guy says he would “hit that” he means only with a baseball bat.

This drunken fool has now become a national figure and the new face of the Texas Democrat Party, which must be upsetting Wendy “Abortion Barbie” Davis.

Continuing with the optics of this political farce is today’s release of Gov. Perry’s “mug shot” at the same Travis County Sheriff’s office. He might want to use this one for any campaign ads he is planning.

Gov P

Besides the fact that Gov. Perry was using his constitutional authority that the Dems claim is illegal, and many liberal commentators are groaing over their charge, this event has not gone quite the way the Dems had hoped.

oops

digital evidenceEvidence must be collected and preserved to get any type of court to review whether laws have been broken. That job is impossible when the ones being investigated are the ones in power.  Lies, misdirection, stonewalling,  footdragging, and destruction of evidence:  We live in dark, evil, corrupt, lawless times.  It will get worse before it gets better.

I recall that a young Hillary Clinton was one of many Democrats crying bloody murder over 18 minutes of “lost” tape in the Watergate scandal, before she was fired by Jerry Zeifman. Why was she fired? In Zeifman’s own words:

“Because she was a liar.” … “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality,”

P.J. O’Rourke once said, “My Grandmother wouldn’t even speak the word ‘Democrat’ if there were children in the room, she’d say ‘bastards’ instead.”

This is no ham sandwich

As the saying goes, a good prosecutor can persuade a Grand Jury to indict a ham sandwich.

NY Daily NewsIn this case however , an Orange County, CA Grand Jury returned a true bill in a 44-count indictment of Democrat super-donor and self-described “best friend” of Nancy Pelosi, Kareem Ahmed.

He was named as the “ringleader” in a conspiracy involving a multimillion dollar scheme to defraud the workers compensation system.  The sealed court documents  obtained by KPCC 89.3 public radio also named Ahmed on charges of involuntary manslaughter of a minor.

Kareem Ahmed’s largest contribution of 2012 …. went to the effort to re-elect President Barack Obama in his race against Republican challenger Mitt Romney. Between February and March of 2012 he gave $1 million to “Priorities USA Action,” the Progressive super PAC founded by Obama White House aides Bill Burton and Sean Sweeny

5 Basic Characteristics of a Psychopath

A guest post, by Daphne Holmes

Psychopathic behavior comes to light most frequently when inconceivable acts of brutality are uncovered in society. Serial killers, most notably, are associated with sociopathic and psychopathic behavior because the nature of their crimes is so abhorrent, casual observers have a hard time making sense of it. And while the exploits of deviants like Ted Bundy and John Wayne Gacy do furnish high-profile examples of psychopathic behavior, not every psychopath ultimately turns to violence.

Acting out in violent ways is one characteristic of psychopathic behavior, but there are other traits, less visible, which also illustrate psychopathic tendencies. Early psychopathof psychopaths identified a moral deficiency among them, which stood among well-adjusted individuals who were better able to reconcile social aspects of their lives. Today’s clinical standard for identifying psychopaths has advanced to include specific traits, including these qualities commonly exhibited by sociopathic individuals.

Emotionally Vacant

To varying degrees, psychopathic behavior includes shallow or absent emotions. Notorious deviants, for example, are well-known for displaying a lack of fear. In many cases, the brazen activities psychopaths engage-in result from their lack of normal fear responses, which would halt well-adjusted individuals long before they commit atrocities. Shame and other social emotions are also diminished among psychopaths who display little sign of embarrassment in social circumstances. Love is foreign to psychopaths as well, which further distances them from normal, well-adjusted people capable of empathizing with others.

Egocentric

Unapologetic self-obsession is a commonly held personality trait exhibited by psychopaths. Their narcissistic tendencies prevent them from understanding their true roles in society, and they often believe there part is of significant importance in the grand scheme of things. Instead of maintaining realistic social views and expectations, psychopaths often show a sense of entitlement. By holding to their visions of self-importance, psychopaths justify their behavior to themselves. After all, they seem themselves at the center of every social dynamic, so the rules simply don’t apply to them.

Irresponsible

Overwhelmingly, psychotic individuals are poor planners, unable to construct reasonable approaches to life. They are overconfident by nature, so psychopaths are prone to poor judgment – turning to their perceived abilities to solve dilemmas, rather than identifying the facts and influences which might lead them to make prudent decisions.

Lack of Guilt and Accountability

Rationalizing their antisocial behavior is easy for psychopaths, who simply do not adhere to normal patterns of guilt and accountability. Whereas others seek was to make amends or reconcile missteps they make, psychopathic individuals are not bound by social conventions, so guilt is simply not a part of their thinking. Since ethics and responsibility are not present to hinder their rationalizations, it becomes impossible for psychopaths to experience remorse or guilt and easy for them to blame others for their own shortcomings.

Insincere

By many accounts, psychopaths are often capable of socializing, even excelling at being “charming”. Outwardly, this may seem contrary to what we know about the character of psychopaths, but seen for what it is, the reality actually fits right in with a typical sociopathic personality. Psychopaths are cunning and manipulative, so appearances may point to a glib, conversational individual. In truth, however, their presentations are deceitful, so casual observers never see the truth about what lurks beneath the surface.

Psychopathic tendencies do not always lead to explosive violence and depraved behavior. There are, however, shared tendencies exhibited by notorious psychopaths and those whose lives unfold without significant incidents. Understanding the disorder accounts for characteristics like narcissism, egocentrism, overconfidence and a host of other irregularities associated with the sickness.

Benny Thompson–It’s All About Race

Chokwelumumba-benniethompsonMississippi’s own Bennie Thompson.  Elected from the gerrymandered 2nd District, drawn to guarantee a black voting supermajority, Bennie knows a thing or two about racial preference.  He bagan his career in local politics as a ‘race man’, finding racial motives and evil intent on the part of anyone and anything that opposed him.  Being  elected to  Congress  hasn’t changed him one bit–not even a smidgen.

Andrew Kaczynski reports at BuzzFeed:

A Mississippi Democratic Congressman says Clarence Thomas is an “Uncle Tom,” Mitch McConnell is a “racist,” and that Republicans are only anti-big government and anti-Obamacare because President Obama is black. Rep. Bennie Thompson made the comments over the weekend while appearing on a New Nation of Islam radio program.

“I’ve been in Washington. I saw three presidents now. I never saw George Bush treated like this. I never saw Bill Clinton treated like this with such disrespect,” Thompson said. “That Mitch McConnell would have the audacity to tell the president of the United States — not the chief executive, but the commander-in-chief — that ‘I don’t care what you come up with we’re going to be against it.’ Now if that’s not a racist statement I don’t know what is.”

Thompson adds at 2:40 in the video that the governor of Mississippi was against expanding Medicaid through Obamacare “just because a black man created it.”

At 3:00 into the video, Thompson adds opposition to Obama is “all about race” and “when a black man comes with an idea [for Obamacare] there’s something wrong with it. Again, it’s race creeping into the picture.”

At 4:47 in the video, he says the anti-government attitude has only been around since Obama was president.

“Now all of a sudden, government is the worst thing in the world since a black man became president.”

Discussing the Supreme Court and affirmative action, Thompson refers to Justice Clarence Thomas as an “Uncle Tom,” adding, “it’s almost to the point saying this man doesn’t like black people, he doesn’t like being black.”

There is just so much wrong with Bennie’s statements, I don’t know where to begin.  But, why bother?  There are no Jedi mind tricks I’m aware of to pry open Bennie’s mind.  He certainly didn’t get to where he is by being open-minded.   Nope, ol’ Bennie is a hard-core socialist.

  • In November 1979, Marxists from the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee initiated a Democratic Agenda Conference, in Washington, D.C. The conference focused on “corporate power” as the key barrier to “economic and political democracy,” concepts many Democratic Agenda participants defined as “socialism.” Bennie Thompson of the Mississippi Association of Black Mayors joined a panel entitled: “Relating Local Issues to the Democratic Party.”

  • In July 1996, Democratic Socialists of America (formerly Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee) endorsed Bennie Thompson, Mississippi 2, in that year’s Congressional elections.

  • In 1982, Bennie Thompson served on the National Coordinating Committee of a Communist Party USA front, the National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, which was led by leading Party members Angela Davis and Charlene Mitchell.

Bennie will have job security for as long as MS-02 remains a gerrymandered mess.  Check your privelege, Benny.

Thousands Rally in Connecticut for Gun-owners Rights

“A year and a day after Democratic Gov. Gov. Dannel P. Malloy signed legislation that banned the future purchase of assault rifles and high-capacity magazines, the Connecticut Citizens Defense League organized the rally to mark the day Malloy made “the Second Amendment a privilege and not a right.””      nhr

Observers said close to 5000 attended the Hartford rally which was attended by all three Republican gubernatorial candidates.  The Connecticut Citizens Defense League organized the event, and is working to repeal the law.

Not all present were for gun-owners rights, however.  Noted TV journo-list Rachel Maddow and the star of the Obamacare ads, Pajama boy were observed at the rally.

In 1921, advertising executive Fred R. Barnard originated the phrase, “One Look Is Worth a Thousand Words”, which has evolved over the years to become “A picture is Worth a thousand words.”

Perfectly illustrated here, don’t you think? (click to enlarge)

Deniers-infringers

I’ve been tinkering around with new nick-names for the gun-grabbing crowd, and narrowed it down to 2:

1) Deniers – turning their own Gore-bull warming tactics on them.  and,

2) Infringers – as in, “What part of ‘shall not be infringed’ don’t you get?

I like ’em both.  what do y’all think?

Ted Nugent Enjoys Some Play Time On CNN

I never watch CNN. NEVER. So it came as a surprise to me that the “Nuge” would appear on this network, though I know he has before with the soon to be departed Piers Morgan.

Ted appeared on a CNN show with some woman named Erin Burnett, who was oh-so serious about the most awful/hateful/racist things he said about our current President.  I’m certain she believed that her “gotcha” style journalism would serve as an ambush Ted could never survive.  After all, he had actually apologized for calling the President a “subhuman mongrel.”

What Ted understands about ambushes, unlike this Burnett person and far too many Republicans that appear on left wing news programs, is the most effective way to defeat an ambush is to charge the fire.  Which Ted did, mocking her and those she attempted to defend.

As outraged as this Burnett person was about his reference to a “chimpanzee” when discussing Hillary, I doubt she even noticed that President Bush was often referred to as a “chimpanzee” while he was in office, or if she did she thought it proper.

In any event, I need to thank the BirtherReport for providing the video segment with Ted, otherwise I would have never known it took place.

Michael Sam And Dale Hansen “Come Out”

You may or may not know who these two are or what they have in common, though I doubt they have ever met.

Sam is currently a former football player at the University of Missouri that was voted the SEC Defensive Player of the Year and is expected to be drafted by an NFL team.

Hansen is a long time television sportscaster for Dallas WFAA.  I doubt he ever played football, but poses as a tough guy/know-it-all motor mouth.  At least he did the last time I watched him twenty years ago.

Sam recently announced to the world that he was homosexual. As a result, many pathetic attention seekers sang his praises and proclaimed him as “Courageous,” such as Michelle Soetero-Obama, Ellen Degenerate and the aforementioned Hansen.

Why this young man chose to tell everyone what his deviant sexual practices are remain unclear. Rush Limbaugh had a very interesting discussion about the Hansen/Sam issue on Thursday.  This link to his show has all the info and a great discussion:

CALLER:  My point was, though, if the football players are not supposed to feel anything about this or be uncomfortable in the showers — you know, in the locker room, in the showers — in that case, why don’t the cheerleaders and the football players shower together?  I mean, if nobody’s supposed to feel uncomfortable.

RUSH:  Hmm.  Let me see if I understand this.  Let’s take this beyond cheerleaders, because cheerleaders are not gonna be in the locker room of football teams. But you’re still trying to make a point here.

CALLER:  Correct.

RUSH:  You’re saying if men and women shower together, men may be unable to help getting excited — and maybe the women, too. Who knows?

CALLER:  Exactly.  Or feel shy and uncomfortable.

RUSH:  Either one.  Either one.  Okay.  So what you’re asking, I think, is, if you put a man who gets excited by other men, rather than women, in a shower full of other men, you’re thinking that somebody in there might feel uncomfortable?

CALLER:  Correct.

RUSH:  Okay.  So then what?

CALLER:  Well, I don’t know.

RUSH:  Cause the uncomfortable are supposed to get over it.

Hansen has always tried(with minimal success) to draw attention to himself and finally found a cause that would do just that, parlaying a rant I am only vaguely familiar with praising Sam and telling us we should “celebrate” Sam for letting us know he has Gender Identity Disorder.

The militant homosexual agenda marches on.

Not courageous, destructive

Rather than praise either of them I encourage them both to seek professional counseling.

The last time I ever watched a Dale Hansen show was when Barry Switzer was the Dallas Cowboys head coach.  I have no idea why I actually tuned into the show when I did, I was probably channel surfing and saw Barry “The King” Switzer was on.  During the interview Hansen made no attempt to hide the contempt he had for Coach Switzer and the tone of the interview became increasingly hostile due to Hansen’s attitude.  At one point Switzer, becoming increasingly agitated due to Hansen’s nastiness, half-heartedly punched Hansen on his arm.  Hansen screamed and wailed like a girly-man. One would have gotten the impression he was a side of beef and Switzer was Rocky.

Neither Sam or Hansen have earned or deserve any praise for their behavior in this matter.  Sam would have served his interest better by not telling us what most of us do not want or need to know.  Hansen, well I don’t know what would serve his interest best and wouldn’t tell him even if I knew.

Pat Condell~There’s No Racist Like A Liberal Racist

Another of his excellent semi-rant observations.

…agreeing with a progressive is like shaking hands with a leper.

Obamacare’s systemic dishonesty

Was anything in this bill of goods known as ObamaCare done in highest good faith with the American People?

Anything?

Going back and looking at the record is helpful. And sickening. And infuriating.

Here’s a great example: Whatever happened to those 4 million jobs created by Obamacare, “400,000 almost immediately.”

Tar, feathers, and pitchforks are called for. Period.

It’s a Bird, it’s a Plane, it’s …
