When The Moment Is Right: A Conservative Coup In The House?

JD Winteregg had a pretty funny campaign ad in his unsuccessful run against John Boehner in 2014.  You might remember the “Electile Dysfunction” video.

Winteregg did a lot better than many expected, but the power of incumbency, especially for the Speaker of the House was too much to overcome.

This time, it is rank and file Republicans who are openly weighing a revolt against Boehner’s leadership team after their underwhelming performance in the opening weeks of the new Congress.

Is it time to finally say, “Bye Bye Boehner?”

Here is a statement from Rep. John Fleming, LA in a story by the Washington Times:

“The problem is we are used to being in this moderate lane and the people, our constituents who are sending us here, are trying to move us over into the more conservative lane,” said the Louisiana Republican. “I think the struggle is that leadership has not yet picked up the trim line that they need to put out more conservative legislation to get better results”

The leadership either doesn’t get it, or they are being deliberately obtuse.  They campaign on conservative ideas, but govern timidly, firmly established in the mushy middle.  Conservatives are tired of the game, and Mr. Fleming is absolutely correct.

The proof of the leadership’s lack of a connection with their conservative base is clearly stated by Rep. Tom Cole of Oklahoma:

“Our problem isn’t leadership around here; it’s followership.  We have a group of people who, frankly, think they are always right and their leaders and the conference collectively are usually wrong.  It’s actually a fairly small group.”

It’s just a hunch, but I imagine that there is a considerably large group of Oklahoma conservatives that believe much differently than Mr. Cole.  My warning to him and others like him is to not take their conservative voters for granted.  We see the Left making bold moves in their “fundamental transformation” of America.  We voted in a new Republican majority to make a stand.

If Boehner, Cole, McCarthy, et al want to see some followership from the conservatives, then it’s time for the leadership to get off their collective asses and get to work.  Use the majority that the voters gave them, and quit acting like losers.  Persuade McConnell and the Senate GOP to use the Reid Rule nuclear option to move legislation forward.   It’s time.  It’s high time.

Call me an #AngryClinger

mo-1

You can call me an angry white man, clinging to my guns and religion.  I actually like this description.  It fits.  I’m an #AngryClinger.

I’m angry that death cult terrorists continue to kill and maim in the name of their religion and in the name of their god.

I’m mad that some Western theologists want to equate the god of the cultists with The LORD God Almighty.  It offends me.

By now, you’ve read about the latest mass murder in the name of the prophet of the death cult.  As more is learned, we will hear the same Western apologists making the same ridiculous statements that these murders have nothing to do with islam; that the murdered shouldn’t have offended the murderers; that a backlash against innocent moslems will occur by #angryclingers (who are basically islamophobes anyway); that conservative Christians are just as evil because they oppose special rights for homosexuals; and of course, that Israel is somehow to blame.

I have the solution to death cult terrorism, and it is very simple.  That doesn’t mean that it is in any way easy.  I’ll detail the solution in a future post, and when you read it, you’ll be amazed that no one thought of it before.  But, that’s for later.

Today’s exercise in evil by the death cult is only the most recent event that has made me angry.  I’m mad about several things:

  1. I’m mad that John Boehner is still Speaker of the House, and Congress is still for sale:  Business As Usual.
  2. I’m mad that some of the same people who said they would vote to replace Boehner, betrayed their supporters.
  3. I’m mad that Al Sharpton still owes an unpaid tax debt of over 4 million dollars, and the IRS has not moved to seize his assets or levy his income.
  4. I’m mad that nothing has been done about the politicization of the IRS, the EPA, the DOJ, BLM, ATF, VA, and others that have betrayed the public trust, committed acts of deception, perjury, obfuscation, concealment, political blackmail, to name a few, all with the knowledge and approval of the motherfucker in the White House.
  5. I’m mad that the 4th Estate has devolved into a 5th Column.
  6. I’m mad that the ones who see these things happening and want to hold the line against them are demonized and marginalized by this very same 5th Column.
  7. I’m mad that our government is over $18 Trillion in debt, with no end in sight, and the only way we are still managing to keep the lights on is because the Federal Reserve continues to monetize the debt through Quantitative Easing I, II, III, and soon, QE-IV.
  8. I’m mad that the above alphabet agencies continue to ignore lawful Constitutional oversight by the Congress, which of course is ignored by the 5th Column, and I’m mad that the Congress hasn’t raised hell about it.
  9. I’m mad that the racial divisions in our country have been stirred to the boiling point by professional agitators, race mongers, communists, and moslems, who have resorted to arson, assault, and assassination of police officers to achieve their goal of “fundamentally changing” our country.
  10. I’m mad that the 2 frontrunners for the 2016 Presidential election are named Bush and Clinton.

So, I’m an #AngryClinger, and I’m up to here. Tonight, I will say this prayer for serenity.

God, grant me the Serenity

To accept the things I cannot change,

The courage to change the things I can,

And the wisdom to know the difference.

RINO spending bill Grubers the american voter

We are so screwed.

One of the provisions of the Boehner spending bill places the full exposure of the US derivatives market on the backs of the US taxpayer (aka the FDIC).

The bill would reverse Dodd-Frank requirements that banks “push out” some of derivatives trading into separate entities not backed by the FDIC.  Ever since being enacted, banks have been pushing to reverse the change. Now, the rules would go back to the way they used to be.   source

boehner spending bill-wapoThe FDIC insurance fund, which  guarantees $12 Trillion customer deposits in 7500 banks across the country is around $40 Billion, after going negative in 2009, and 2010.  This is still less than the statutory 1.15 % required reserve amount.  That amount is supposed to go to 1.35 by 2020 under Dodd-Frank.  IKR!

And how big is the US Derivatives Market?  Nobody really knows.  It’s a black box.  The estimate I’ve seen is $ One Quadrillion in notional value.  Estimating the amount of cash at risk using only 1%  still leaves an exposure of $10 TRILLION, which will now be backed up by you and I.

This is just the beginning.  Now that the get out of jail free card has been issued by the RINOs, we can only expect this market to grow unrestrained, like a weed in your flower garden.  Capitalism for the bankster profits, and socialism for the inevitable crash.

This isn’t what the Republicans were elected to do.  It is not why they were given the majorities in both houses of Congress.  It a complete and utter backhand to the voters who sent a clear message, received lip service, and received a giant Gruber in return.

Get ready.  It won’t be long now.

If you like your NSA surveillance program, you can keep it

In July, an amendment sponsored by Rep Justin Amash failed to pass muster in the House.  This amendment would have ended the “indiscriminate collection” of American’s telephone records, to those records that pertain to a person who is subject to an investigation under Section 215 of the Patriot Act.

It failed, 217-205.

The vote was very close, and disappointing for citizens who believe that their Constitutional right to privacy is being violated on a daily basis.  Frankly, I’m amazed that this has gotten so little play in the Press.

I have a message for those Americans who like their NSA surveillance program:  You can keep it.

For the rest of us, Rep. Amash is now sponsoring a new bill.

big-brotherThe legislation, titled The USA Freedom Act, would, if signed into law, curb the National Security Agency’s ability to conduct communications sweeps and close a “back door” to information by requiring a court order when performing searches of Americans in data already collected without warrants.

“It’s getting out of control. “… “(Courts are issuing) general warrants without specific cause, … and you have one agency that’s essentially having superpowers to pass information onto others.”  —  Justin Amash, 11/6/2013.

Surprisingly, John Boehner and the establishment GOP is against this legislation.  This disgraceful group of so-called conservatives includes my own Congress-critter, Gregg Harper.

Is your Congressman on the list of those who voted against the original legislation?  Check here to see.  Then, send them a note, and let them know what you think.

This is truly an idea whose time has arrived.

Meet the new boss

It seems so long ago, that Nancy Pelosi promised the most ethical Congress ever.

After a year and a half of ethical leadership, how is the Dem congress shaping up? More of the same…

a $170 million earmark for the salmon industry, quietly tucked into the mammoth bill at the last minute by Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Rep. Mike Thompson (D-CA). I don’t know much about the salmon industry. Perhaps Pelosi and Thompson can explain why it was necessary to earmark $170 million of the taxpayers’ money with no public scrutiny or debate. The earmark wasn’t in the House-passed Farm Bill or the Senate version; it was simply “air-dropped” into the final bill in secret. source

Drain that swamp, baybee.
