What is the difference between the mentally ill and muslims?

Is there a group more delusional, more in need of therapy than Muslims who believe their religion is tolerant and promotes peace? As for their so-called Prophet, who can read of his life and not call him a murderous, Jew-hating, child-molesting, rapacious, violent, savage, barbaric, womanizing, and illiterate thug? Yet they hold him up as the model human being to be emulated.

There is a difference between the two types of mental illness. Those who hear voices telling them to kill are correctly called mentally ill and can be treated with drugs and therapy and be kept in places where they will not harm anyone. Muslims however are, for the most part, not correctly diagnosed as dangerous and subsequently are not treated with drugs and therapy and sadly are not kept away from the rest of society for our protection.

There are those in our country that believe we can treat Islamic illness with kindness, welfare, education scholarships, citizenship and all the other benefits our country has to offer and they will not place bombs in public places as in the case of the Tsarnaev brothers. I don’t know which is crazier: believing that Muslims are no threat to western culture or having a tooth removed by a Muslim dentist.

Polygamy and shariah, revisited

Mitt Romney made news recently for his family having historical ties to the practice of polygamy. Described by liberal pundits as “the ultimate Mormon oddity”, the truth is that the Mormon church officially repudiated polygamy in 1890. It was, in fact, a requirement for the admission of Utah to the Union.

Polygamy is an affront to the principle of equality between the sexes. You would think that this would be an issue that is championed as a women’s issue. Sadly, it gets little attention from international organizations, even on International Women’s Day.

The practice is common in the Muslim world, and is becoming common practice in Europe, as well:

“the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten reported statements from Norway’s Directorate of Immigration (UDI) that there are an increasing number of men with multiple wives in Norway. “The reason is married men travel to countries where polygamy is legal and then add a wife.” Though polygamy is illegal in Norway, “this is something that Norwegian authorities cannot prevent,” said UDI spokesman Karl Erik Sjøholt. …The Islamic Cultural Center Norway (ICCN), an immigrant organisation subsidised by the Norwegian state, advises Muslims in Norway to take several wives because polygamy “is advantageous and ought to be practiced where conditions lend themselves to such practice.”

Some time ago, a blog we used to visit regularly, pointed to a reprint of an article at The American Muslim that encouraged the development of sharia law in America by using the model of Tribal Courts, as practiced by American Indians.

I recommend that as a first step, supporting organizations dealing with Islamic family law be established immediately. A professional association of Muslims in the law field (of whatever specialty) is a must. A law school students’ support group should be formed, and Muslim youth should be encouraged to enter this field. A second step would be to establish institutes in the U.S. which can supplement legal education with courses in Islamic family law. At the same time, pressure should be put on law schools to include courses in Shariah taught by Muslims.

This is not assimilation. This is not acceptance of American Civil Law. This is unacceptable. Inasmuch as the political left has resisted the logical step of protecting the institution of marriage through the amendment process, is there any other remedy that has legal and historical precedent? There is. And it goes back to that “ultimate Mormon oddity.” Joshua Trevino at Brussels Journal laid out the case in an excellent post from last year.

The precedent is the 1887 Edmunds-Tucker Act, which effectively disestablished the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints until that entity gave up its doctrine of polygamy. The Mormons were effectively declared an organized-crime outfit: their properties were confiscated, and their leaders were driven underground. It took three years, but in 1890 they abandoned polygamy, Utah became a state, and the Mormons … have been good, patriotic, and peaceful Americans ever since. One, Mitt Romney, even has a shot at being President shortly. They were forced to join the civilized world by the United States government, which cared more for the norms of American culture than the values of the Mormon faith – and rightly so. Looking back, it is difficult to deny that this vigorous action – in which no American was killed, deported, put into camps, or hunted down – was to the ultimate benefit of the country and the Mormons.

If we could act with that degree of sanity, self-preservation, and humanity in 1887-1890, why not now? If we cannot, it is not because Muslims now – or any other immigrant community now – are worse than Mormons then: it is because we have lost the self-confidence to do it.

What could possibly go wrong here?

A Detroit-area school district says it’s allowing Sikh students to wear a small, religious dagger to school, MyFoxDetroit.com reports.

The decision by the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools reverses a ban put in place in December after a fourth-grader at a Canton Township elementary school was found with a dull, 3- to 5-inch kirpan.

The kirpan represents a commitment to fight evil in the Sikh tradition. The dagger is a religious symbol that baptized Sikh males are expected to carry.

Abandon FaceBook!!!

Not only should FB subscribers abandon this abominable site for the reasons I have already posted on, this next one should be enough on its own.

Facebook: Criticizing gays no longer allowed, but hoping for Limbaugh’s slow death OK!

At the end of last week Facebook announced that it had allied with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) to remove what it considers anti-gay references from the social networking site.

According to GLAAD president Jarrett Barrios, he considers anti-gay references as “violent, hateful speech,” and FB has signed on to this agenda.

However, FB does more than a little side step in addressing their own policy…“You will not bully, intimidate, or harass any user. You will not post content that: is hateful, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence,”…when it comes to numerous FB groups that are opposed to Rush Limbaugh, such as:

I Hate Rush Limbaugh
I Can’t Wait For Rush Limbaugh to Die
Rush Limbaugh Should Die Slowly

The words “hate” and “die” are actually in the titles of these groups, but FB doesn’t see anything wrong with that, and they never will, they are committed doctrinaire liberals.
They demonstrated this clearly months ago, by shutting down conservative groups.

In the latest evolution of FB, now that they think they are too big to fail, they set the terms of political correctness that its subscribers must adhere to or face being banished.

My view today is slightly different than it was when I last posted on FB. Now, I wish they would pause and suffer the tortures of the damned at each and every one of the nine rings of HELL, ascend to the top and repeat the descent, for eternity.

Also, I’m certain the petulant libturds at FB will once again display their displeasure with my posting this, as my initial post was spammed over five hundred times. No other post on this site has ever received that level of spam, not even the posts that are critical of islam.

If that response doesn’t reveal how fascistic FB is, nothing will.

From our nation’s founding, we have acknowledged the source of our inalienable rights as men, so eloquently stated by Thomas Jefferson in The Declaration of Independence.

Those rights have been hardwired into each and every person from birth. That simple recognition and affirmation, “by their creator,” was conspicuously absent in the closing remarks of President Obama’s speech to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus on September 15, 2010.

As the President read from the teleprompter, his omission of any mention of The Creator was missed by the media and unremarked upon by those in attendance. But, thanks to the New Media (hat-tip Free Republic), we know the truth. BTW, here is a screenshot of the official transcript (just in case, you understand).
