the TEA Party is dead? Don’t Be Stupid

A Guest Post by Rodney Lee Conover

rip-teapartyIt’s sickening to hear people – some I really respect – sounding so wrong about “the death” of the Tea Party and how badly they’re doing in the 2014 elections.

Sure, the trolls keep repeating it, but even in Republican circles I’m still hearing how the Tea Party has completely lost all influence in American politics and people are buying into it. To that I can only ask:

What are you, new?

When someone talks about the Tea Party being dead, or that “the brand” is damaged, or however the libs have managed to define it, you can bet it’s someone that doesn’t get out much.

Only folks sequestered in their basements, hospital rooms, DC offices or likewise have been sold this bill of goods. Get out into actual America and it’s the opposite, trust me. What these naysayers are yacking about are Tea Party “groups,” and who cares? What I care about is conservative voters. We are the Tea Party and these opportunistic groups aside, we’ve been busy kicking ass in 2014.

jawsEnabling the Tea Party Downers’ ignorance as always are the media – ignoring the victories Tea Party voters are bringing this time around, despite us having to fight a three-front war against liberals, the media and the establishment GOP – bent on destroying the very people who put them in power.

Tea Party candidate Dan Bongino with his Obama bashing and damn Tea Party ideas just barely squeaked by his opponent, 84%- 16% in Maryland’s Sixth. Why is it newsworthy? Because it’s the only competitive district in Maryland for the GOP.

Didn’t hear about Dan’s landslide? That doesn’t surprise me, there was hardly a mention of him anywhere. He’s a former Secret Service Agent who claims Obama is corrupt and not qualified to lead the nation.

If Dan would have lost that badly, you think they would have reported a little something about the Tea Party boy getting whipped? Yeah. But do a google news search on his primary victory and…. yeah. No wonder you shut-ins think the Tea Party is dead, the NY Times, WaPo, HuffPo and all the other Po’s you read act like they’re dead.

Let’s jump right to Eric Cantor getting shellacked by Tea Party candidate David Brat. How many reports immediately sprang out announcing Brat was ignored by Tea Party groups? It’s true – but who cares? Brat was supported by Tea Party voters and this movement was never about groups.

The Tea Party is a true grass-roots movement no matter how they’ve lied to you about it being “astro-turf”, financed and contrived by the Koch Brothers or whatever. Stop being an idiot. If the Koch Brothers could invent a movement to shift political power such as the Tea Party did in 2010, don’t you think they’d have done it sooner and more often since then? Are you that stupid? Yes you are, so you need some more:

Ken Buck, Tea Party guy in Colorado in the 4th District wins the special election there – but is it news? If he would have came in last it would have been. So I’ll ask again – why do you say the Tea Party hasn’t won anything? Ben Sasse in Nebraska: Tea Party – BLAM! Alex Mooney in West Virginia: Tea Party – BLAM! There’s more –

How many Tea Party candidates have won elections in Texas this year? Too many BLAM!s to list, friendo. They’ve dominated and yet the Tea Party is dead? There are literally dozens of victories already this year in Texas for Tea Party candidates, including the ousting of America’s most senior Congressman, GOP establishment extraordinaire, Ralph Hall… Who?

Ralph Hall!” I screamed at the media… He was beaten by Tea Party candidate “John Ratcliffe!” Wait – are you telling me that an incumbent Congressman got beat in a runoff election for the first time in 20 years – and by some Tea Party upstart, John Ratcliffe? That sounds like a story!

Well, not one that the mainstream press has any interest in. And not one that people hanging onto the dead Tea Party narrative are going to admit actually happened.

It happened my friends. Just like Tea Party guy Curt Clawson in Florida who cruised to victory in the 19th District in yet another special election ignored by the media and our buddies in Tea Party Denial Land.

assholesChris McDaniel is challenging the close results in Mississippi after the despicable Thad Cochran campaign. The media has taken the opportunity to use the Cochran re-election as an example of the Tea Party’s demise. If anything, doesn’t it show the strength of the Tea Party?

It’s hard to beat a guy that’s been in there for thirty or forty years – especially when millions come pouring in from decades of influence. And what about when scumbags from the left start supporting the GOP establishment candidate? Any idea what Cochran had to resort to in order to fend off Tea Party voters? McDaniel would have gotten trounced if the Tea Party were dead, so stop saying that.

No, we’re not winning like 2010 – but now we have the GOP establishment with the Chamber of Commerce, Mark Zuckerburg, Labor Unions, the evil Main Street Republican Partnership Super PAC and even George Soros money teamed up against us. So yeah, it’s hard out here for a pimp.

We’re losing some races – it’s true – but we’re not just winning a ton of them, we’re making this election about which candidate can be the most conservative. It’s forcing the GOP to admit they’re a bunch of Obama enablers. They’re exposed and they need to be beaten before we can do battle with the Maoists.

But to sit there and claim the Tea Party is dead because a couple of greedy and goofy-ass Tea Party “Groups” are backing the wrong horse here and there is just making you sound stupid. Get with the program, buddy – we’re still rolling and the general election is where we need to get it together.

Tea Party groups? Who cares? Tea Party candidates and voters? Not dead by a long shot, so quit saying it. Leave that to the wannabes.

Rinos caught raising funds from democrat machine again

A guest post from Joe for America

Establishment incumbents are once again teaming up with liberals to destroy conservatives and they do not care who they get in bed with – even if it the most vile, far-left, attack dogs from the Clinton Machine.

As long as the money is green and there is Tea Party or conservative support trying to oust squishy, liberal-leaning RINO’s – the GOP will accept funds from Satan himself it seems:john-podesta

A group headed by John Podesta is hosting a fundraiser in Washington, D.C. for Thad Cochran, a Republican incumbent being challenged by a Tea Party conservative. Who is John Podesta? I’ll give you an idea:

He sat on ACORN’s Advisory Council, was hired by President Obama to push climate change, Executive Actions and the late Andrew Brietbart called him; “the father of the “institutional left.”

Mississippi’s Republican establishment has rallied around Cochran to fend off state Sen. Chris McDaniel (R). In Senator McDaniel’s corner is the Mississippi tea party, with affiliated groups around the state that bring energy to the state senator’s ground game.

… So of course, conservatives must be destroyed – even if it means selling your soul:

MS Conservative Daily

According to Politico, a group headed by John Podesta is hosting a fundraiser in Washington, D.C. for Thad Cochran:

“PODESTA RAISES FOR COCHRAN: Downtowners are hosting a breakfast fundraiser for Sen.Thad Cochran (R-Miss.) at the offices of the Podesta Group. The March 4 fundraiser will cost $2,000 for PACs and $1,000 for individuals.”

Podesta served as White House Chief of Staff under Bill Clinton, as well as advisors to some of the biggest Democrats on the Hill. He founded and chaired a progressive think tank, Center for American Progress, and the Podesta Group, a lobbying firm for liberals and big business. He is now serving as a senior counselor to President Obama.

Senator Chris McDaniel has called on Cochran to explain this partnership. This is further proof of Democrats’ affinity for Thad Cochran
UPDATE: Since this story broke, Politico has cut this particular entry from its story. I guess Cochran’s people fear the outcome when the people of Mississippi find out.

chris-mcdanielThis is the kind of guy our brave GOP establishment is in business with – along with the Mainstreet Republican Partnership PAC, funded by left-wing labor unions and George Soros connected money.

We don’t need to start a Third Party, we need to start a Second Party.

Give money to Chris McDaniel HERE

I fear for our country.

Barack Obama’s SOTU Reality TV Show

A guest post by Rodney Lee Conover

Tuesday night millions of Americans witnessed an unprecedented surge in the proliferation of Reality Television. For the first time in history, the exact same Reality TV show was broadcast on every network – ABC, NBC, CBS & FOX – at the same exact time. In addition, it was also featured on CNN, MSNBC, FOX News and on any number of other cable outlets!

The name of this show was; “President Barack Obama’s State of the Union Address.”

Hi. I’m Rodney Lee Conover and for those of you who missed it – here’s my unabashed review.

Full Disclosure: I’m running for Congress in California’s 8th District.

I watched President Obama deliver the annual State of the Union address and as we’ve come to expect, the President, instead of a solemn opportunity to take a measure of where we are as a nation and as a people, delivered another made-for-TV entertainment event. An Executive Branch Reality Show and like most Reality television – completely contrived..

Obama_speech_2

The President promised yet again to pivot to the economy, put our people back to work – vowing to rebuild the trust of the People in the government’s ability to provide solutions for all. But this is empty regardless of how many times or how eloquently he repeats them. Anyone with a modicum of awareness of real Reality just shakes their head while he’s explaining how America is now “Energy Independent” thanks to him..

.. Of course that’s because no one has to drive to work anymore – but he didn’t mention holding up the Keystone Pipeline. Must have slipped his mind.

The President congratulated the Congress for passing a budget: The first in 4 years. It was a budget he described as undoing some of last year’s severe sequester cuts (his idea) to education. But he failed to mention the disgraceful cuts to veterans benefits included in the Ryan / Murray budget disaster.

Speaking of which – John McCain has said that Republicans who opposed the budget deal lacked “intellectual integrity.” In fact, my opponent voted for that budget deal (which included those military pension cuts). I would have been opposed to it. In fact, I’ll make a promise to you right now. I will never vote to balance spending on the backs of our military.   Never.

Bruce Cotton and Ann-Marie of Lone Pine, Ca. Vietnam veteran and hero of mine.

Bruce Cotton and Ann-Marie of Lone Pine, Ca. Vietnam veteran and hero of mine.

Our veterans have earned not only their pension benefits, but also deserve the very best medical care possible. Further, they should be able to go to VA Clinics and Hospitals and speak freely about their needs without having to worry that some slip of the tongue will cause them to be denied any liberties or be deprived of their 2nd Amendment rights.

The backlog of veterans waiting to be treated is inexcusable, and deserves the attention of our political leaders who pay lip service one moment, then cut retirement benefits the next.

There are solutions to the problems our veterans face with getting proper medical care. Those solutions are not found in the single-payer, single-provider system model that the President and the Democrats intend to bring to the rest of the country with Obamacare.

I believe that citizens should be able to choose their own healthcare, not the government. When the President promised us that if we liked our healthcare we could keep it, he knew that was not the case. Like millions of Californians, last October, I got a letter from my insurance company canceling my coverage, even though I liked it and wanted to keep it. The replacement coverage is more expensive, has a higher deductible and higher out of pocket costs. I also like my doctor of nine years, but he’s not compliant with the Affordable Care Act.

obamacareSo, Obamacare costs more and covers less. And it certainly hasn’t covered the 40 million uninsured that the President promised. We conservatives saw this coming, and fought a long hard fight to keep it from becoming law. But, elections have consequences, and without one single Republican vote, Obamacare became law.

The final chance that we had to stop this train wreck happened last Fall when House Conservatives led a charge to defund Obamacare. In the end, establishment Republicans including my opponent voted to fully fund Obamacare and allow it to go forward.

The President had very little to say about this signature achievement, and understandably so. A botched roll-out effort, a failed website, billions of dollars wasted, and still millions of Americans without coverage, or unsure if they even have coverage, gives little room for Mr. Obama to boast of the program’s success.

It’s harder to understand why Establishment Republicans caved. The House controls the pursestrings and originates all spending bills. The Republicans own the majority in the House. Why would they give in? The framers of the Constitution gave the House under Article One the power and the duty to stop onerous legislation which was passed over the will of the people.

Establishment Republicans don’t like change and they feel very threatened by anyone who is new to The Club. Just look at the way they have sabotaged Ted Cruz, and ridiculed Rand Paul. These are the same Establishment Republicans who vehemently opposed Ronald Reagan in 1980, but who had done a complete turnaround by 1984.

fairtaxThe President may find an ally in these Establishment Republicans on issues like immigration reform, tax reform, and increased use of Executive Orders. I want to abolish the IRS – the most intrusive, coercive, and corrosive Federal agency ever. I would replace the tax code with The Fair Tax. Every American will become a voluntary taxpayer paying taxes when they choose and as much as they choose, by how they choose to spend their money. What could be more conservative than that?

I will not vote for a pathway to citizenship for anyone in the country illegally as long as our borders are not secure, and there are millions and millions of American citizens who can’t find work, and millions more who have simply given up trying to find a job.

And, I will continue to work to repeal and replace Obamacare with a system that champions firstclass medical care and freemarket principles that allows people to choose their doctors, choose their coverage, and make informed choices on private, competitive health insurance coverage.

rodneyleeconover  I’m Rodney Lee Conover. May God Bless you, and May God Bless the Great California Republic.

I need your help and support.   I’ll do all the work – it’s a fair deal: Take it.

Meet Rodney Lee Conover, CA-08

Reblogged from Joeforamerica.com.

Rodney Lee Conover is a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 8th District of California. He was a writer for the Rush Limbaugh Show, a conservative stand-up comic for 12 years entertaining people and troops throughout the world, a talk-show host on SiriusXM for eight years and most recently, speech writer for Herman Cain and Joe “the Plumber” Wurzlebacher.

Many of us know Rodney from his columns at JoeForAmerica and Patriot Update. Now some may just shrug their shoulders and think that California is too far gone and hopeless for any conservative to live in much less get elected in. Well, to quote Lee Corso on ESPN College Game Day, “Not so fast, my friends.”

rodneyleeconoverWhile California does not have a congressional delegation that looks like Kansas, it also does not have a congressional delegation that looks like Connecticut. The 113th US Congress has 15 Republicans out of 53 congressional seats in the California delegation. The 103rd US Congress had 22 Republicans out of 52 congressional seats in the California delegation. The aftermath of the amnesty in 1986 and redistricting makes it hard to see Republicans gaining 8 seats, but they could gain 3 seats in a 2014 wave election. A new rule in the 2012 California elections had the top two primary candidates competing in the general elections instead of the top Republican competing against the top Democrat. This new rule had two Republicans competing in the general election for the 8th district seat. The Partisan Voter Index (PVI) for California’s 8th district is R+10. There are only 2 districts in the state with a better PVI than California’s 8th.

Rodney is not running for office because he wants to be a career politician. If he lived in California’s 4th district, then he’d simply be voting to reelect Tom McClintock. California’s 4th district also has a PVI of R+10. There is a BIG difference in the performance of incumbent Tom McClintock and 8th district incumbent Paul Cook. Heritage Action Scorecard grades Tom McClintock 90% on key votes taken and grades Paul Cook 62%. Rodney is running because he believes a majority of conservatives in the 8th district are not getting represented by Cook and they deserve a dog in this fight.

Rodney knows that just having an R after the name does not equate to being conservative. Gov. Schwarzeneggar is exhibit A. He is asking for a vote from those living in the 8th district, and money to support his campaign from anyone no matter what district you live in so conservatives will be represented.

Victor Davis Hansen, NRO writer, sums up what conservatives think about living in California.

What worries us in our beloved California is that a state with singular natural gifts (the best agricultural climate and soils in the world, vast ports facing the rich Pacific Rim, vibrant tourism, huge reserves of gas, oil, and timber), and a wonderful inheritance from our ancestors (the UC system, Caltech, Stanford, USC, the origins of the American idea of freeway transportation, brilliantly engineered hydroelectric and irrigation systems, and a mostly harmonious, skilled, multiethnic populace), has been so mismanaged, by both recent Republican and Democratic governors, as to result in chronic budget crises, terrible public schools, and a third of the nation’s welfare recipients, with nearly a fourth of the state’s residents ranked below the poverty level — the highest rate in the nation.

Conservatives have not really “declared the state doomed” but have instead pointed out that it is in dire jeopardy — and not just because “the political balance shifted.” After all, a supposed Republican, Arnold Schwarzenegger, was recently governor for eight years. The real problem is math, not politics, and it finally caught up with us in terms of massive deficits and unsustainable aggregate debt.

What Is A Police State?

Guest post, by Rodney Lee Conover:   Your ex-girfriend may have a nuclear device

.

I hear a lot of people complaining that the Obama Administration is leading us down a path where one day we will be living in a police state.

I ask you this:  What do you consider “a police state?”  Does it mean residing a place where authorities are standing in your living room, watching everything you do and waiting to place you in shackles if you violate any new “thought police” statutes?  Is it like the old Soviet Union or the current North Korean regime?  What?

While you’re thinking about that, let me tell you where you live right now:  You live in a country where the Federal government can (notice I didn’t say “does” or “might” or “will”) can listen to every phone call you make, read every email you send or receive and track your movements once you step outside your home.  They can access your IRS information on how much you make, where you make it and your perceived intentions regarding tax-relation activity.  Soon they will have all your medical records and can see what you’ve been treated for and what type of doctor you’ve been to.  And they can do that without your permission…

jimclapperliarI’m not saying they are doing it. I’m merely pointing out that they can. And they now have been dragged kicking and screaming into admitting it in public, with the exception of a few lies in front of Congress by the head of the NSA, James Clapper (currently the Director of National Intelligence).  My question to you is simple:  What is a police state?

If for whatever reason, the Federal government decides you are someone of interest, they can, without any concern for your Fourth Amendment rights, investigate all forms of your communication, Facebook postings, Google searches, cell phone conversations, whatever.  And if they hear the right buzzwords (they decide the buzzwords) they can do the same to your friends, relatives, enemies, acquaintances, Facebook pals, whoever.

You know what I hear less and less of lately? That Snowden is a traitor. And for good reason.

I’ve been told over and over again that the NSA doesn’t spy on Americans.  Then they were, but they won’t.  Then they would but they couldn’t.  Then they did but they won’t anymore.  Now they just do.  This is about political power, not catching terrorists.  Grow up.  There is no time in this country’s history where the government has been given power and they didn’t abuse it.  It’s the nature of power and this is no different.  Need more?

A British newspaper, The Telegraph, is reporting that NSA staff has been using their technology designed to catch terrorists to spy on their lovers, past and present.  Yes, there’s nothing like keeping a watchful eye and ear on your ex, just in case they’ve decided to set off that nuclear device they’ve been building in the spare bedroom. The folks who swear they won’t abuse their power or use it in any way to further their careers or help a politician or oppress a fellow American in any way, are keeping tabs on what their love interests are up to.  Their phone calls, emails, Internet activity, searches and who knows what else.  I’m serious – who knows what else? Raise your hand if you think they haven’t been downloading Snowden’s hot girlfriend’s every email, photo, conversation and who knows what else?

spyingeverywhereI heard Dana Perino – someone I highly respect and admire – say that with all the intelligence they gather, the NSA is of course going to gather some information by mistake along the way.  But this is not an innocent slip-up. This is the deliberate abuse of power and denial of civil liberties guaranteed under the Constitution to their victims and all of us.  These weasels did not break the rules – they broke the law.

Until they are rooted out and held accountable, the NSA should not be in charge of anything.  The NSA is not about terrorism or spying, it is about gathering information for coercion, oppression and political extortion.  Raise your hand if you think every bit of information on President Obama’s enemies and potential adversaries are not being organized for use by the usual suspects – Axelrod, Valerie Jarrett, Plouffe – all of ‘em.  Go look up the Cloward–Piven strategy and get back to me if you don’t believe it.

What is a police state?

paul_lee_cruzI just hope that Senators Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, and Rand Paul haven’t searched anything online that can be used against them in 2016 because it will be.  I hope none of their relatives, co-workers or friends have done any research or looked at any subject that will allow CNN, the NY Times, MSNBC, CBS, The Washington Post and all the others to scream the headline; “REPUBLICAN NOMINEE’S UNCLE GOOGLE’S TOPLESS ACTRESS !”  Don’t worry; I’m getting to Hillary…

I’m not exaggerating. It’s so easy now – before you had to sneak into or know somebody at the FBI willing to give you 900 confidential files of Republicans, and then explain how they got in your sitting room with your fingerprints on them.  Or you had to be married to the President and the whole thing goes away – but still it was a lot tougher then.  Now you just Instant Message your buddy at the NSA; they stop listening to their ex-girlfriend talking to that guy she met at the gas station long enough to upload enough info on anybody to find something that can be twisted into a scandal.  Or maybe you need to intimidate, say, a Supreme Court Justice into rewriting ObamaCare so it somehow seems Constitutional?…”Just say it’s a tax or something.  What can they do – you’re a frickin’ Supreme Court Judge for life, baby!”…  Just being hypothetical there.

Here’s what we know:

  • Clapper lied to Congress, nothing happens
  • The NSA says they have broken privacy “rules” 3,000 times in the past 12 months or so nothing happens
  • Again, these are not rules; they are laws that were broken
  • The law states these violations are felonies which call for up to $250,000 in fines and five years in prison for each violation No one has been charged

This is what we know. Imagine what we don’t know? If this isn’t a police state, what is?  Twenty words or less.  Thanks.
